Message disappeared

How can message history just disappear

I’ve received and sent messages to another member and now they have all gone

Advise please

Why do people do that?

Probably panicked when they realised how local to each other we were

Sadly some people intimidate people expecialy if they live close and delete to avoid. There are a lot of people who lack tact and are poor communicators on here.

Apologies if I am wrong, but I thought that if the sender leaves the site, the messages are still there, just the username disappears?

I think they disappear if they leave. But they stay if they have hidden their profile

It changed not long ago. It all goes if they leave.veris too.. the summary of veris for the receiver stays the same but the content dissapears.

Only thing that stays are their forum posts but states unlos

Admin don't remove accounts.

It is as others have said, the profile holder deleted their profile.

Would say that too. Some newbies do that especially when or before trust in the web or courage starts to build up.
