Not been here long but could really do with advice from both parties as to what usually gets the attention more because i know just saying hi isnt going to get far.

Also what can you put as a subject because i cant seem to think of anything good.

Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by both parties ? You are only looking for women.

Basically would like a opinion from guys what they put and an opinion from lasses on what they like to see when they get messaged for the first time.

There's no way to guarantee a response. You're not owed one. But trying to suit what the woman wants is your best bet.

I don't really have a problem with a polite " Hello, how are you? "

.

What is wrong with it? Perhaps include something from my profile but is a nice opener.

.

I don't understand the problem

Most women think its laziness.

Maybe read a profile and select something from it and comment on it

A lot of guys message every woman they can within a 30 mile radius. I want to know why me, apart from that I have a vagina.

OP maybe you should tweak your profile because as it stands now you say “you don’t care who you meet” to me that doesn’t sound very appealing & makes you look desperate sorry to sound harsh

Yeah. Women often look at profiles before messages.

A polite, hello, enjoyed reading your profile. (Add something of interest clearly from it that you liked).

Maybe it made you laugh, or you empathised with the frustrations (often a long list of don'ts in some).

Maybe you're into the same thing, or liked their photos as it clearly demonstrated a creative side not often seen.

Maybe it was something you seen in a comment she made in the forums.

Add that you'd be interested in knowing more if and when she has the time.

Leave it at that and don't keep returning. There are more to view and chat too.

At the end of the day most of your messages will be deleted and it can become frustrating. Bare it or just let them contact you if they are interested, a few do.

" A lot of guys message every woman they can within a 30 mile radius. I want to know why me, apart from that I have a vagina. "

Exactly this. Don’t just message every woman when they come online. Be honest with yourself as to what you’re looking for, and only message those women who tick those boxes. Let every woman that you message know how they fit in with your aspirations and what you can offer towards their’s.

Some good advice on this thread.

Just to add I'm not sure of your username is the best choice as who wants to be someone's rebound. I'd maybe consider changing it. Some more pictures would possibly help.

Good luck

And really understand that you will send many messages, eloquent, relevant, well thought out and polite, but they might still be deleted. It's just how it is. Don't take it personally.

Yh that is literally the first thing i do soon as i go on a profile. Read up about the person, take in every detail and try to relate through a message.

It's difficult to say but if there's something witty written in their profile I try and pick up on that or even if they update a status.

Sometimes I'll really like someone's profile after reading it and let them know that it caught your attention for x y or z reason

Heaps of people say "I've read your profile" followed by stuff that shows they haven't.

"Thanks for all the advice.

Personally I dont ask for special words and its very rare I even look at the subject.

I like a message to show they have at least looked at my profile and something more than just hi how are you or have you had a good day etc.

Someone who I just replied to apparently had read my profile, he hadn’t!!

So I’d suggest really actually reading whoever’s profile you’re sending a message to and if they’re looking for single men then send them a polite message tailored to their likes x

Just read the persons profile then start conversation around something you found intriguing or something you wish to know more on from their profile.

But some will straight up write you off for your username or you may not be attractive to them or what they’re after at that precious minute. But just plough on!

A polite message addressed to both people in the couple . Say something about their profile and send a recent face picture or two.Keep it short and to the point but don't drivel on .. It gets boring . Have a look right at the bottom of my bio for some great advice for single guys on here. Copy and paste and then search it in the forums. Happy Fabbing

Don’t message them! If you can’t tell what they’re hoping for from fab then what’s the point of making contact? Be choosy. Only message women that match YOUR specifications, and be totally honest with yourself about what those are. Don’t treat every female in a 30 km radius as a potential FB, just those who’s profiles genuinely speak to you. Make your requirements every bit as important as their’s. If they haven’t put any work in on their profile then why on earth should you put any work in on a message?

In my experience receiving a reply can be just down to luck. Ladies and Couples get so many messages that they have no real chance of reading everything. I tend to find that I get more response if the message receiver happens to be on line, and/or Ive attached a picture (which is generally a face shot, although that often kills it stone dead anyway!). After that, an imaginative title helps, a simple Hello isn't going to get any attention.
