For us it was simply the progression of a very healthy sex life together........mr c worked with a "pervy couple" as we thought then and we went to a fetish club with them......well i sent him first and then joined him on a second trip.....it opened our eyes and more to the many experiences and oppurtunities the lifestyle has to offer and have never looked back!! For us it was by text from different continents, when apart we share text stories and fantasies one series when he was in the USA led to swinging getting mentioned and fantasised about, when he got back we went to a club.

Depends on your relationship, but if you don't generally talk about sex with your partner, asking her to swing out of the blue may cause more problems than it's worth.

Asking a long-standing partner to think about swinging is a very individual matter, depending on a multitude of factors (how strong you are as a couple, how well you communicate, how much honesty/trust there is in the relationhip, how satisfied both partners are with the sex-life, reasons for wanting to 'swing', etc) There is no 'one-size-fits all' way of introducing the idea of swinging to a partner.

If it's a new vanilla girlfriend, though, I would say it's easy .... take her along to one of the socials in a non-swinging venue, let her see for herself that we're a nice friendly bunch, and let her decide for herself if she wants to 'dip her toe in the water'.

If your not sure how your partner will take it, then it's a big fat don't.

Just our advice, with us, the subject just seemed to come up in natural conversation, but then we are both sexual people and discuss sex quite a lot.

Don't push it, it will only end in tears.

We were watching a swinger club orgy DVD and I said "would you like to do that?" She thought about it and we went to La Chambre for the first time the next Saturday.

It probably helped that we had only just met. It would be more difficult if you suggest swinging after years of marriage, I did to my ex once and she had a big sense of humour failure "so you're fed up with met then and want other women?" (the answer was yes but didn't dare say it!).
