Hey, I've been on here for a few months now and am struggling to get replies off messages I've sent, is there a certain way of introducing urself etc

Are you sure you're presenting yourself in the best light possible in your profile? As most people look at the person's profile when deciding whether to answer the message or not. There is one big discrepancy there that would make me question the viability of the rest of it. As you haven't asked for profile advice, I can't give it.
