It's a clever title I promise!

After losing a bit of weight recently, it's now apparent that when I lay flat it would probably be possible to put a ruler across my chest and it would sit perfectly flat. My boobs now seem to have taken residence in my armpits. I haven't met anyone for around a year anyway but the thought of someone seeing my body and boobs at this point is nauseating

Everyone, really everyone has body hangups.

All I can tell you is that you should take pride in your body because despite the bravado of blokes saying they like large / small / perky / saggy boobs, the reality is that naked boobs up close are awesome.

To a bloke that you get naked with, your boobs will be awesome

As with any body hangup, you'll focus and magnify it far more than anyone who looks at you. You may hate the way your boobs look but others may love it. From your pics, you look gorgeous!

From a practical perspective, you could try some chest exercises in the gym. That'll build the muscles which should add some support. Also try regular boob massage to stimulate the tissue. Then there's cosmetic surgery.

Exposing yourself to the thing that makes you nauseated can help with overcoming body confidence issues. Maybe try taking photos of your self lying down? Ideally taken by someone else so it's bit from your usual angle.

Blimey the though of photos of my boobs when I'm laying down is not comfortable at all! I probably should take some new ones because people will be expecting the perky profile pic boobs of last year. I did intend to lose weight but mainly because I had to for an operation I was having. I want to keep the weight off but there's obviously a price to pay.

You are still you, whether you’re 10kg lighter or heavier. Body shape might get you the initial smile but if you start talking then it’s YOU that makes or breaks it, not some aspect of your body.

I know it seems big to you and I’m not dismissing it as unimportant, but really - you’re worrying about it more than others do.

A while ago I was with a woman in a club and we’d been together naked for a few hours. She told me that she was really worried about going naked because one of her breasts wasn’t quite the same shape as the other. I hadn’t noticed and once she told me (and I looked reeeally closely) I didn’t care.

You are aware of your boobs because you’re used to them as they were.

Anyone meeting you now is seeing them as they are now. Not as they were.

A man who is lucky enough to get you in his bed will be too busy silently cheering he’s about to have sex than to notice any perceived imperfections, or he will be worrying about HIS imperfections.

But you'd be very surprised at what many would think and completely the reverse of how you see it

I agree with this. I take photos of my flaws and look at them repeatedly and some of those photos have made it to our profile photos as I’ve grown to accept myself piece by piece. It’s so hard to love yourself. You’re beautiful, but it’s hard to believe it sometimes. I know I never do. Someone told me the other day something about how it’s not up to us to tell others what they can find attractive. That means if someone finds you attractive, warts and all, that you are in fact attractive. Always happy to chat about this via message if you want. - Mrs Cagey
