Are there fake profiles with verifications?

I know there are plenty of fake profiles out there but has anyone had experience of fake profiles with verifications? This has made the possibility of meeting someone even harder!

I've come across a couple of potential verified fake profiles. Or profiles where veris are like 3-4 years old (mainly couples) of couples that aren't actually together anymore

Yes, we've seen a few fake profiles where they verified eachother. One 'couple' verified another 'couple' and both used exactly the same pictures and similarly semi-literate writeups, which gave the game away!

Pardon my ignorance, but, if the verification was received from a couple, who are no longer together, surely that still makes the verification valid, if it was a 'genuine' couple, in the first instance?

We have actually been approached by various users, asking if we could write a 'verification', just so as they can post on the Meets/Events sextion.

I've had several (online) encounters with couples, with verifications, but I strongly suspect or have been told outright that one half no longer participates or the relationship has ended. To me, even if the verification was legitimate, a single person using verifications to pass themselves off as a couple means the verifications are now suspect.

I concur over the suspicion over ‘legitimacy’, especially if the profile itself is not genuine.

However, from a historical point of view, if the verifications came from a genuine couple, who are no longer such, does this mean that the verification itself is invalid?

Maybe I am interpreting this incorrectly?

Should we receive a verification from anyone, who then is proven to be fake, we would not display that verification. However, unless they leave the site, it would still show up in our ‘numbers’, should we choose to display that.

Yes there are fake profiles on here with verifications.

I was chatting to a lady on here, with pictures but no verifications who said she was not ready to meet yet, but asked me to verify her in return for a meet at some stage.

I declined and reported her, however an hour later she had three verifications from three guys hundreds of miles apart and hundreds of miles from her for 'meeting in person'.

the profile is still active, no more verifications and no pictures now.

it may be genuine but I have blocked 'her'

Yes! I read a profile with three verifications. It was obviously fake. I then clicked on each of the accounts of the verifications. They hadn’t even been made with effort!! The verifications has all verified each other only (no others) it was like a little fake circle. It was reported!

It's very possible... I met someone a few years back who caused me lots of problems. Naturally I told him I didn't want to meet him again and eventually had to block him, but it escalated from there... He would set up new profiles to contact me from. I would report and block... Then he went a step further and set up a network of profiles all verifying each other (having gotten a former meet to give him a veri on one profile first)... male, female and couples profiles... Again once I identified him I reported and blocked... But 3 years later he's still coming back on new profiles and contacting me.

Daft question, but can I report a fake veri left for me? Chatted to someone by text but every time I ask to do a video call, to prove they’re female, they make excuses. They have left me a veri claiming we’ve chatted on cam, we haven’t. They have no veri’s, and are now wanting me to give a fake veri, when I have no way of knowing if they’re genuine or not.

I’ve told them I won’t do it, but not sure what can be done about their veri to me. Viv xx

We had a similar discussion on the Ireland Forum yesterday. Unfortunately sometimes you meet someone and verify them, maybe just at a social event or even at a 1-1 meet that didn't go anywhere, but you verify the person anyway, because you did indeed meet them... But for whatever reason, you don't feel the need to stay in touch with the person or to keep them on your friend list or hotlist, so you're not exactly keeping tabs on this person you verified out of politeness.... Then suddenly they appear on hot photos using pics that you know are most definitely not of them, but you've already verified them.... What do you do? Not only are they now using fake photos, but everyone who knows the photos are fake will be calling your verification, your own profile and your judgement into question. You're then tarred with the same brush... Unfairly. Worse still if you're completely unaware that your veri is being used to reinforce a fake image as you don't have the option to report and block... And your own credibility slips away without you even knowing why....

Report fake photos, and if the profile is verified, maybe drop the poor suckers who verified it a message to at least let them know they're being made fools of.

I was a couple but did the honourable thing and deleted her side of the profile / changed to Male only then I’m assuming a moderator deleted her drop down info because it disappeared a few days later ! Too many “couple” profile with “only Male playing now” that to me is a fake profile

I have been approached a couple of times by men who asked me to verify them as they had met me at one of my events. I declined , I wasnt even at that event lol. I'm sure if it's happened to me it's probably happened to a few other people. I wont verify someone unless I have met them face to face.

Yes Ive had this too...

And I have also in past been catfished by verified profiles as have friends.

Some made epic journeys as well to be dubbed.

Using reverse image usually helps if you are unsure ..

I also knew of a female that charged site support in return for a verification.

Thankfully shes long left site.

I get asked on event profile a lot from people pretending to have attended but as we have a format of questions now that people rarely answer.

However you view it. There are pros and cons sadly x

I have done. Just didn’t know if I could do anything about the veri. So annoyed that someone could lie like that, and try and get me to falsely verify them xx

This isn't that hard to get your head around. That isn't her. It's snapshots from a porn scene which is East European and the woman is not her. The watermark is conveniently cropped out and the woman in the films is from Czech Republic not Doncaster. She's a faker

Most of my verifications are older ones, I no longer have a web cam and I no longer arrange meets off fab due to some of the worst experiences you can imagine !

so although they are true and my verifications are real as I am they are old (as am I )

You can’t really see her face so you can’t really say that,41 isn’t old!! And I agree no return search on tin eye and she’s very well verified with a mixture of photos.

If it's easier I just post the link to the scene from the site. This girl in the movie has been in about 10 different scenes on there. The set is the same they used for 100s of different scenes. Of course reverse image searches won't work as they are 'screenshots' from a paused movie. They won't be registered anywhere as an image. This is genuinely not that hard to work out. Once you see the scene you'll be convinced I'm correct.

"Daft question, but can I report a fake veri left for me? Chatted to someone by text but every time I ask to do a video call, to prove they’re female, they make excuses. We’ve worked hard and spent a lot of money acquiring our dodgy verifications, now we can start collecting pictures joking of course! There are many profiles which are verified and fake, after all what guy would turn down a verification swap with a hottie? Helps his chances somewhat

TBH we avoid any people that don’t show verifications too, but a hottie with 1 or 2 after a few months is probably fake
