I blocked a guy this morning because I believe he had added me to a group on kik that possibly included girls selling sex. As soon as I realised I left the group, blocked him on kik and on here, but I haven’t reported him on here. Should I be? And now I’ve blocked him can I do that still? He already tried to add me as a friend again, not sure how as he was blocked. I never actually met him but with hindsight I feel he was possibly grooming me for weeks.

You can still report a profile if you’ve blocked it, click on it and it’s a drop-down from “Menu”.

There is a weird glitch on fab that when you block someone you occasionally receive a friend request off them, so don't feet - he doesn't have some mythical power x

Yep you should be careful. You'd be surprised how many pimps there are on here looking to groom girls. I get asked outright if I want to "make good money" every so often.

Possibly included ? Believe ? Lots of possibles in there..

I have no idea what was said on the kik group ..if it was external to fab how would you want fab to verify what was said ?

You can block a person for any reason its a site tool everyone can use for whatever reason. Reporting someone for what is happening external to the site by folk (ladies) who are possibly not on the site doubt they can do anything.

I have no firm proof what his plans were for me, but I still feel justified in reporting my concerns. I saw enough in the group to be pretty confident that the small number of ladies were there for the entertainment of the much higher proportion of men. And were charging for their services. What Fab do is up to them, but I feel I’ve done what I can to hopefully prevent him preying on others.

I may be 48 but I am classified as a vulnerable adult because of my disabilities. I don’t feel the need to disclose that on our profile but he knew through building friendship with me. It’s naive to assume predators only target children or the young.

When you block a friend their original friend request appears back in your friend request box. You just have to delete it.

Just block ignore and forget I’ve reported lots of dodgy stuff in the past but nothing ever happened and they just create another account and keep doing it

their was nothing conclusive about your statement though, you've damned him by blocking him I'm sure admin wouldn’t see it any differently.

They need to add an attachment box on reports to upload evidence.

Like someone said above, they'll just create a new profile. Unless they block off IP addresses people can just start anyway again under a VPN.

I think whoring for cash on kik is not permitted so you can report the group on there too.

Best to let it brush off your shoulder, lots of oddballs on here with hidden agendas.

Women block men on here every single day for much more trivial reasons. I will do what I need to do to make my experience on here safer. If in fact he is innocent all he has lost is me (a potential fuck). And if he isn’t, I fully acknowledge there’s nothing to stop him creating a new profile. But that doesn’t mean I was wrong to block/report.

I said it up there^^^ I don't know the kik messages neither would fab., if it happens in another domain what can fab do they're not the internet police.

If the conversation was on here admin can check the messages... the op said possibly, she believes, if there were definite exchanges off site she'd not be using possibly or believe she'd be using definitives.

And just for balance only one side of the story is presented here.. theres always three sides to a story.. theres mine and the truth.
