So we accepted a friends request from single female *beautiful profile & pics * and started a convo on kik. Shared a few messages & pics but heard nothing back for 3 weeks so deleted her from friends list. Lo & behold within 2 hrs of deleting her we get a message back on kik . . .. . I'm thinking she's really a he - far too coincidental with the timings. Does this happen often???

have faith she maybe was away on holiday in the dordogne for 3 weeks just got back all tanned and gorgeous

Either a he or a couple looking for wank fodder, pics probably came from the web. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Always best to keep things on fab.

Thanks everyone . . . thing is we're not even averse to single men!!

Oh well - we'll chalk it up to experience - we're certainly finding out there's certainly some not so honest people on here

We put the pics of new people through tineye to see if they're from random porn sites. Even if they're not, we're still very cautious.

Why do the timings mean that it’s a man? I don’t understand

We stopped using KIK for that reason. new and not sure is what we were 3 n half years ago. Soon worked it out. Picture collectors is what they are. We keep everything on fab and use our gut instinct. Single female not verified and been on a while hits the alarm button for us. They prey on the vulnerable who first join looking for the illusive single female

I never said def a man - I was thinking a man hence why Ive asked for advice / other people's experiences

Suppose it doesn't really matter as to

the gender really . . . prob as has been said - someone who just wants to collects pics

So bingo . . .. . . tineye has showed us 2 of their pics are not theirs.

You have her kik. Tell her to take a verification photo with the in app camera. We sometimes ask them to hold a number of fingers up too.

When the photo is sent it will say 'camera' underneath the photo if it was a live pic

There it is! We have someone local who keeps setting up fake profiles. Usually the super hot, 20yr old nympho type with stunning pics. They always come back from tineye or Google reverse search as 'borrowed' from the Internet.

Report the profile as fake and add a note to say which search method turned up the pics. Admin are pretty good at knocking them down although there are a couple of established profiles that still use fake pics.

If anyone quickly wants to move the conversation to kik etc that’s an instant red flag and normally a block x

Yes I think as newbies we probably fell at several hurdles - this being one of them, felt like I as the female half was being stalked by one guy . . . so now blocked.

I'm a single female, I'm not photo verified, I wouldnt take a live pic, or do a vid chat to prove I'm real for anyone...but I'm definitely real, and I'm meet verified (when i choose to show them), so the logic shown in this thread is a tad flawed

exactly and just because a delayed reaction could be many reasons you're innocent until proven guilty surely
