Hi all it seems that clubs is the way to go if you’re a novice like me So I may just indulge at least to gain experience. I assume this as there is here a certain amount of etiquette required so my question is Masks are they acceptable I’d wear one for the sake of being discreet.

You have two face pics on your profile so why do you need to be discreet at a club ?

Masks?

As long it is not of Pennywise, or, the whispers "I'm Batman"

Stoke area

Only time I have seen masks worn was at a masquerade ball. It was too hot and everyone took them off at some point during the night.

Just go and show your face. You are not hidden on the site and if you met anyone at a club, they would be unlikely to broadcast the fact they saw you there, cos they were there too.

It's not illegal you know !

Would you seriously expect anyone to talk to you if you had a mask on? If it's a masquerade ball that is a different matter, if not I'd just think you were very strange and ignore you.

I'd not be interested in someone who hides their face in a club scenario. It would look bizarre.

Fully-fledged masks or masquerade masks, no. It would just look ridiculous. Who do you intend to hide from? Will you keep it on when playing! Lace masks, yes. They complement the outfit and the person is still recognisable.

There was a programme on tv a few years ago and it interviewed some swingers in masks. Think people assume we all wear masks in clubs. Bizare and ill informed.

Yes that’s the type of mask I’m thinking of

Fair enough all your comments are positive and useful

Hefty Hideaway

I took a chap on his virgin voyage to a club. It was fancy dress so he decided to wear a mask to help with his nerves. Once he got in there he felt like a plonker bless him.

Swingers, like normies, only tend to wear masks at masquerade balls or highway robberies.

Whilst the threads given people a chuckle, let's not forget, there's no such thing as a daft question if you don't know the answer and too much piss taking can put people off asking questions.

And if we don't ask questions, we don't learn anything.

If anything I think it takes more confidende to wear a mask if not a masquerade ball or bdsm night. As you would defo stand out.

We treat clubs as we would if going to a vanilla club night out but with the chance to get naughty while we are out and not have to hope the kids are still out when we get home.

So a mask or anything that a person may do that is properly odd or sleazy would make us uncomfortable.

It’s a night out with similarly minded people, be open and enjoy it you don’t have to hide

??

Not sure if it has been mentioned (too lazy to read all the posts), masks are more likely, in my opinion, to be worn at ‘fetish’ meetings, latex, leather, cosplay, etc.

"

It certainly does. Pretty sure it's still on Netflix, there were only three episodes. The overall tone of the show is very condescending, and as is usually the case regarding shows about 'unusual' lifestyles, the narrator basically just mocks everyone featured on it.

It amuses me to watch - they think they're so clever poking fun at these 'weirdos' when they clearly have no idea and I like seeing Libs on it

Big no no. The point is in a club is everyone is equally exposed. That’s why you have dressing down in play areas.

Never seen one worn in 15 years of swinger-clubbing here in UK and on the continent. People just don't care about being seen, we both like to see the expressions on faces while they're playing, anyway.

Op I'd say wear exactly what you want to wear and feel comfortable in.

You stand a much greater chance of being recognised from your profile on here than in a club simply because there are many more members of fab than attendees at a club on any given night.
