Meeting someone at your home

By (user no longer on site) OP

Years ago about 23/25 years ago we allowed men into our home we meet via Gumtree personal ads as no mobiles/internet widely used. We were young and naive.

Meeting men from this site, especially if they have only been verified via another user or picture, would you as for a picture/proof of their address, eg council tax, rent receipt, drivers licence/etc?

Another question, my wife Tej feels she is too old for any fit guy to be interested in her - I thought of role play, EG, call in a builder/etc from this site even a pretend one that comes over to give us a quote and in the process he discretely chats her up, seduces her and hopefully take things from there by building up her confidence.

TIA

What would be the point of you having proof of their address

North Coast

Would the utility bill have to have been recent? Past 6 or 12 months?

What about points on the driving licence? Would that work against the man?

If someone was verified by another user, why would you need any more confirmation than that?

Another forum post where it looks like your putting on your wife again. She clearly doesn’t want to fuck other guys or she’d be actively involved.

Time to turn it in.....

I noted the other day as we get quite a few contacts that the user that contaed us one of many had only been on-line for a week and bee verified by another user via video only - a year ago or so when we had a joint account me and the wife, couple of memebers verified us watching us on video but we never showed our face - so you could be anyone

clarification re my OP - i would insist on two recent id's and a name and check these as after all the would be coming to our home - you can laugh, your perogative but we know what we wnat and the luck guy coimg over would have my phone and our address.

TIA

Some of the resposne here are the type that drive couple, newer people off the site. The others by some that may feel that they want to hide their details as wife may find out - the dozens of blokes we are contacted by and many dozens when we had the joint accout are married and/or have girl friends, so I understand why you don't want id asked for

That's one of the weirdist things I've read on here. And I've seen some freaky shit over the years.

If a potential meet is looking for ID verification I'd run a mile.

I didn't realise you need a DBS (criminal check for those not in the known) to meet people off here... That's where we were going all wrong then!

Graham, if you had nothing to hide and were to visit our home, we would be foolish not to check you out beforehand and those that have let you in and i guess none, you see where i am coming from. I too would run a mile from those that refused id

And the reverse of that op is, you phone your "friend" with the visiting man's address, he's out as he's with you and he gets burgled..

I'm not saying you would obviously, but it's a possible intention.

Be realistic OP- if you're that scared of someone visiting your home you don't know. Arrange a meet in a club. Then you'll know if your partner really does want to swing and so would the other people there

Why do people on here make it so difficult for themselves?

that would be a breach of the data protection act if you asked for proof of address

plus if your wife does not want to meet a certain type that is up to her and her choice I would be annoyed

In response to the op:

Do whatever you think is appropriate to ensure the wellbeing of both yourself and your wife.

There is an element of risk and a leap of faith required if you are inviting someone not only into your home, but into your bed and your wife. However, I would imagine that there would be very few people willing to give up their anonimity to meet your needs.

Perhaps a club meet may be an option you (and her) would be more appropriate?

There are only 3 people on the whole of fab that know my real name, my occupation and where I live. That was a result of well over a year of chatting to get to that stage.

I wouldn't hand over proof of snything.

Surely long card number, expiry date and 3 digits off the back of a card would be better proof of ID

Op if you invite people from the internet into your home you have the right to ask for anything that makes you and Tej feel safe. Single women are advised to take car registration and inform a friend of the address they're going to but as you've discovered single women are treated very differently on fab.

The thing is though that the people coming to your house have the right to refuse to give you the information you ask for. Put yourself in a man's position. You ask him to come to your home pretending to be a builder to try and seduce your wife. You have his full name and address. Tej gets upset because a stranger is in her home behaving inappropriately and calls the police. That guy is in a lot of trouble. Then there's identity theft. Utility bills are a common way to steal someone's id.

If Tej is genuinely on board with all this take her to a club. If she's not stop putting her and the guys you're trying to invite home into precarious positions.

I would suggest you get to know them socially in a public place before inviting them back to your home.

Have two or three (our more) socials and use your instincts as to whether you can trust them.

Put no pressure on your wife, give her time to see if she likes 'him'.

Good luck

To be fair, when setting up a profile, there isn't an option to say married but playing alone or without consent.

It's single male or married, and it would be very deceitful to say mf couple when only one half is on the site
