What’s so good about them? Who’s got one and uses it a lot? Who’s had one and got bored of it? Help us decide whether to get one

They are very good for getting d*unk in, maintenance is the downside of it very good for winter & summer and can use it all year round if you want. Costs for maintainance aren’t too bad eithe r

We’ve got one & love it, we’ve had it just over a year and use it at least every other night

For us it’s a great way to chill out, switch off leave your phones in doors & catch up

Obviously we have fun in there too & it’s a great ice breaker and place to have a drink at the start of the meet

We spent NYE in the hot tub, bottle of wine, watching the fireworks

If your unsure maybe try one of the lazyspas before committing to the real thing, my biggest worry was cleaning it, staying on top of the chemicals etc but once you get used to it it’s really easy to stay on top of

Had a Lazy Spa Miami for a couple of years, then the temperature maintaining function broke. It was the only thing which did not appear to be user-repairable, and had no suggested fixes on the net. Of course it happened just out of warranty.

It was expensive to run as we left it on all the time. There was nothing worse than fancying a quick session only to find that the temperature wasn't right, so leaving it on was the only solution. It got through filters at a rate of knots, even though I cleaned them after each use. When there was an issue with a blocked filter, it would shut down and start beeping. This usually happened in the early hours, which meant a trip out into the garden to plunge my arm into cold water to unscrew and replace a filter. Not really my idea of fun to be honest.

Would we have another one? For half of the extra monthly running costs, my wife has bought a gym membership which means she gets out of the house regularly. Result!

Was it relaxing? Yes. Was sex in it fun? Yes. Was all the maintenance hassle worth it? Not in my book.

Ours is left in 24/7 even when we are in holiday, it works out about £20 a month extra on our electric bill in the summer months & about £50 a month extra during the really cold winter months

We figure it’s cheaper than one night out in a pub yet we can use it everyday

We have one and find if we turn it down to 35 when not in use its saves us a lot on the electric bill ,it only takes about 1.30 hrs to warm back up to 40 when you want to use it ,we have never had any real problems with ours and we have had it 3 years now ,

My late husband bought one for our garden, I hated it and him. It ate electric, I didn't like being in the warm water or the jet bubbles either. I put my Koi fish in it when he died, it makes a lovely fish pond.x

It more like would you share a pool with people, baths are not heavily chlorinated, hot tubs have generally more chlorine than public swimming pools so really aren’t much of a bacteriological risk... the ice factor of loads of sex juices is there but there’s no actual risk to it provided you keep on top of your chemicals

I’ve had one for about 10 years and have had a lot of fun in it. I don’t use it much in the summer as I’d rather be sat in the sun but in the winter when it’s freezing cold and the sky is clear and crisp I absolutely adore it.

If you look after your hot tub then your maintenance costs should be pretty low.

Go American if you decide to get one. I work for a dealership local to you lots of chinese ones on market.. finding replacement parts can be a nightmare.

A lot of brands pretend they arent chinese. Nothing wrong with those tubs, it's just repairs and replacement parts. A hot tub is a hostile environment for a machine. Sun, rain, water and chemicals.

If it's your hot tub then no.. its not like that at all. Just you and your friends. If the bromine and ph maintained and you swap and clean filters, drain the water x3 a year. You're relaxing in clean bath like equivalent water.

If you're lazy with your maintenance.. that's your problem to deal with down the line.

If you're lazy with your maintenance.. that's your problem to deal with down the line. "

costs £4.50 to refill and heat your tub back up to temperature. Roughly a £1 a day running costs on average spread over the year.

Not for a while.. but eventually. It does get a bit of slick coating on the wood, bit of a slimy feel I think.

We have a lazy spa were in it every night. Good for relieving aches and pains after work. An evening soak sets you up for a good night kip.

Maintenance maintenance maintenance.

If you're lazy and don't clean it daily and chemicals it soon gets grubby. 5mins every evening after use and sorted. We change filter every night and clean replace next day so they never get dirty .

Only way is to get a lazy spa try yourself.
