So we've been talking to a couple profile, photo verified and has meet up verifications, sent pic proof of them both, we was planning on meeting just the male, but then he's looked for B on our other social media.

Just looking for advice on how to deal with people like these, we've reported them/him and blocked him on everything he's tried to add us on

That's pretty much all you can do. I think it's way out of line and indiscreet to contact people from here on social media, not to mention somewhat creepy. I'd never dream of doing it as it's totally separate from this and should always remain so.

Plenty of online search tools available, the best ones you pay to access. Must admit Op hasn’t given away too much info on their Profile but I haven’t looked at threads they’ve posted on and information by reverse image searches.

One of my previous jobs was to verify people and vet them, all I used to need was a mobile phone number and you’d be surprised

Any social media get maximum filters on, would be my suggestion, only open to your friends. Screenshot any messages in case you have to take it further with the authorities.

By blocking he should get the hint, so hopefully this’ll be the last you hear from him.

Agreed - all to easy for a first name and town to find people on Facebook etc...

May take a little longer with a common name but a unique spelling or event you may have mentioned it n passing is all you would need.

You would be shocked how easy it actually is to farm your details from different platforms.

Tend to agree, but surprised recently to get FB friends invite from a couple of people. One of them was sooo hot and I was so tempted to say yes.

I've had this OP. Yes it's creepy. Had to block the guy on FB, messenger, Instagram, Kik. Totally uncalled for. Some are unable to separate this from real life unfortunately.

A lot of people are lax because they trustingly have way too much information about themselves available online for anyone in the world to view.

Facebook. LinkedIn. Google. Instagram and the rest do not have your interests at heart.

We have no social media accounts anywhere.

If you're actually interested in privacy - then keep your private life private and don't blab it around the Internet like a child for anyone to read. It's that simple.

We have learnt how easy it is to find out personal information from just a phone number. As soon as you put it into contacts it comes up in "people you might know" on Facebook and Instagram. For that reason we never give anyone our numbers. Filters are set very tight on all social media. But guys must have a lot of time on their hands if they search using names and towns.

There are companies that make money from mining personal information about people on the Web.

It's amazing how much is available in public record - from names, addresses, telephone numbers, date of birth, property registry records, mortgage holder, debt and financial details, where you've worked and lived, people you know (and everything about them) , interests, skills, pictures, opinions on various topics, everything you have ever tweeted or written..

Some employers will use this when you apply for a job for example to perform background checks. The government and police use it to check your associates. The whole social media circus is not nearly as innocent as it appears.

The only safe defense is to not share anything online that you are not comfortable with the whole planet knowing.

The OP found out the hard way that it's easy for someone to find out about her 'real life'. The point is. Your real life should not be online. You shouldn't have an online life if you are at all serious about privacy.

Make sure you untraceable through fab have a kik account you only use for fab that has no clues to your name just write this off as a lesson learned he has probably split up with the female of the couple profile and is using it on his own

Also, don't use similar usernames across sites and don't use the same photos across sites.

Don't use photos that easily identify you or your home/car (e.g. visible unique tattoos or photos of kids etc in background)

Give the bare minimum or fake info to any website - particularly social media ones, use a fake D.O.B. (even just a day or two different). Delete accounts you don't use. Go into settings and turn on everything that makes you more secure.

Use a different email address for all things swinging.

Create social media accounts for swinging separate to real life - use private/incognito browsing.

Don't give out your regular phone number - get another one or use kik or other social media app.

I never contact others via their non-swinging online presence but I do use it to verify they are genuine and also not a threat to me. It is amazing what personal information people leave openly on the internet.

I often thought about running a class on online privacy. I'm not an expert but I do know enough to really help others.
