If messages have disappeared does that mean the other person has blocked me?

If the person has left the site it tells you so. If you’re blocked then I’m afraid everything goes and that person is untraceable xx

Sometimes messages just disappear for no obvious reason... then come back later.

As far as I'm aware they don't disappear if you've been blocked and people often complain about getting an offensive message then finding they're blocked so can't respond.

I believe that "the system" does delete messages from new accounts who have deleted their accounts.

Messages disappear when the person leaves the site, I thought they stayed if you were blocked.

People that have left the site on mine their messages disappeared unless there in saved messages then it tells you user no longer on site

Oh now it’s confusing? It’s all the messages from a couple of people but there are older messages still seeable, ( not a real word) but I can see one of the profiles so can’t have blocked can I ?

If you can click on their profile and read it then you're not blocked.

Have you deleted and they deleted? Then they disappear. Easy to accidentally delete a thread of messages on the grouped inbox..

Thanks for the ideas. It’s not blocking because people I’ve blocked and have blocked me the messages are still there.

If they have left the site it doesn’t say but I’ve searched their names and nothing. Was meeting me so traumatic all trace had to be deleted! Hay ho plenty of fish, woops that’s another site I think!

They have probably left the site...people get cold feet or change thier minds...it happens on all sites not just Fab..x

Fab have changed that. If someone leaves the site - all messages to/from them will dissappear

It is part of the GDPR regulations as we in IT know.
