Verification advice? Am I asking too much?

Ok I'm talking to someone NOT ON THIS SITE.

I'm in Florida they are in North Carolina. We've talked through email and occasionally on the phone during this last week. He's shared pictures of a stunning female he claims as his wife.

But I started to get the feeling that he was a fake. He bought her a boob job and is always talking about showing her off. I took this opportunity to ask if I could show her picture to my friends and brag about that I might be hooking up with her, solely for the purpose of my friends cautioning me that if it seems too good to be true it probably is.

Using this as a segway into asking him for some kind of simple proof that she's his.

Something as simple as during one of our conversations on the phone her saying hi during on speaker phone. Or at the very least sharing a PG rated picture of them together. Something people share everyday on Facebook.

So I politely asked him and this was his response.

"We have dealt with the whole issue of verification for 3 years now in the same way, if the person doesn't want to take a chance and meet us at the appointed place and time, then it's his decision. Those who have "rolled the dice" have never been disappointed, unless upon meeting them face-to-face, they turned out to be boorish, rude and obnoxious!

So verification and proof will not be offered and if you have an issue with that and wish to terminate the conversations , it's up to you."

I can't think of any logical reason he couldn't do something.

But even if she did, asking you to get to North Carolina from Florida without being willing to provide the most basic assurance that they are who they say they are says a lot about how little consideration you could expect during the rest of the interaction.

But, no, she’s a bored man’s fantasy.

True I don't think she exists. They were supposedly coming to Florida in July.

I don't like to ghost people,even if he's lying.

I've run into this hundreds of times and know what to put but...

What reply would you send?

There is an imbalance here between you and the other guy.

He holds everything you want, but can't justify it except to display negativity when challenged.

You on the other hand, have nothing concrete to offer except concern.

Thus, walk away and move on, forgetting about this guy and his supposed "other half".

Google search the image, see if it’s been used on another site etc...but reading through your post Op, I’m in agreement with everyone else. It’s a fake meet, sorry
