Be yourself, I always think it's false if you're asking someone what to say if that makes sense

Read their profile and address it in your message. Be personal.

My wife opened a single profile to see if she could just chat to some guys and try and get a connection. She is swamped with hundreds of emails. There are just too many to read.

So to try and get the numbers down we wind up deleting unread all of the following:

No profile picture

A dick profile picture.

One liners like 'hi how are you'.

All the naff ones that say things like 'I want to eat your pussy' or 'I'm in a hotel' or offering money.

So we would suggest none of that. Just write a natural, not too long email that comes from a normal person and doesn't make you sound like some desperate sex crazed saddo.

I find the more someone compliments me, the more I cringe, and think they are insincere.

For me, pick a non-sexual subject is a good start.

Erm...by saying "hello"?

To be fair the majority will read your profile before reading your message. The message comes last when it comes to getting attention.

It doesn't matter (kind of) what your email says.

When you send an email 99% of people look at your profile first. If your profile is shit you are not getting a reply.

Agreed. OTT compliments just sound insincere. A couple of amiable sentences and something picked up from my profile would be masses better than telling me I’m beautiful, or ‘Wow, stunning’ (again).

Say hello

Say who you are

Say where you are

Say a bit about what you're looking for or offering

Say "Hope to hear back"

Attach a face pic

I agree however I also agree that it is important to actually write on your profile what you are looking for- eg one off meets FWB swinging partner etc

And show you have read the profile and address any preferences expressed eg actually single

I agree, but add why you were attracted to them and why you think you would be a good match. This shows you have read and thought about their profile and are not just thinking about yourself.

The men we have met have generally told us what they liked about our profile and had things in theirs that we were looking for

Having only just opened up our profile to look for single men, we received 300+ in the space of 2 days. We are specific on our profile about what we are looking for. We'll over half the men that messaged hadn't read it and that was blatantly obvious. Others were one liners or just rude.

Those we replied to had we'll written messages, had attached a face picture and a great profile. xx

...and true. We delete all messages from profiles that have dick closeups. Have to admit we didn't appreciate a mail from someone saying they had a group of guys that needed sucking either.
