Manchester (she/her)

What type of event?

If a club, be clean and presentable, check the dress code. It's good to bring condoms. Check what drinks are served, you may want to bring some. Don't get pissed.

Be friendly, confident and assertive but not pushy.

What’s been said before.

I always wear so nice undies in case you don’t like the robe/towels they have.

I take flip flops or sliders to wear when dressed down in communal areas as I hate to think how many feet have been in certain bits and you know what men’s aim is like in toilets

Lube as well as condoms.

We have been to many clubs and haven't seen a wanking zombie mob.

Luckily we must have picked the right clubs!

1) check club's website for requirements for single men; make sure you fulfill them, don't just turn up on the day as you would, most likely, not be allowed in

2) check the dress code

3) make sure you have enough cash on you- though some clubs do accept plastic nowadays, their website should normally state

4) check if you can bring your own drinks or whether you need to purchase all from the venue

5) as per dress code- make sure you look and smell nice

6) be friendly and approachable, but not pushy

7) smile, talk to people; don't rely on non-verbal communication as people can't read your mind

8) chat to bar staff/club staff; if it's your first time, they could give you a tour of the facilities and introduce you to some of the people there

Last but not least: remember that NO always means NO! Do not touch without being invited, and do not try and go bareback.

Enjoy.

Rugby

Also... if a door is closed, it’s closed for a reason... leave whoever it is to whatever it is.... interrupting their flow by knocking or trying the handle won’t get you invited in!
