The sphincters are muscles, and like any muscles If they are exercised with care they will stretch and then go back to 'normal'. I've been occasionally receiving large toys over 22 years and have been fisted a few times... And my toilet functions are still normal.

To cause the muscles to tear you'd have to do something pretty brutal.

Nope it’s not bull it can happen to folk, prolapse of the sphincter muscles can happen from anal sex as well as pregnancy and other conditions, aggressive anal sex and not being relaxed during anal sex is the most likely cause of it to happen where muscles get damaged because they’re under extreme pressure, it can be reversible, folk who have bowel problems where there is already problems around the area are higher risk

Yes anal prolapse is a thing but it's far more likely for people that dont stretch and use an appropriate amount of lube. Dry, unprepared anal is a fools game.

If it’s forced it will cause damage, it’s normally an anal tear or fistula normally not too damaging but if it’s a big tear it can put your life at risk

Anal sex with lube isn’t likely to do any more damage than making you slightly loose

But fisting and extreme toys are more likely to give you a prolapse and a chance of Faecal incontinence but some can do loads of extremely anal play with no troubles I’ve seen a man with what looks like a sausage hanging out his bum before yes still wanted to play.
