I see a lot of people saying don't message asking how i am or stuff along those lines and i see people saying don't message anything sexual.

So without knowing they’ve got a dog called peter and love reading harry potter books (for example) how else are you meant to start up a conversation?

Do the message for the profile and or status.

However, sometimes I send a message because I think the person is having a bad day and wondering if a chat will help.

Not as a means to get them naked, but because I prefer people to be happy and if I can help with that, then I try.

So, erm, read profile, status updates, maybe check pics and try to bore them with your attention to detail

I've had quite a few messages today that just said 'Hi, wot ur doin' or 'meeting'

I just want to know the message is for me, not just a quick see if I get a response, stab in the dark.
