Age requirements

Happy Easter everyone and thank you for clicking on this post!

My ask today is; what is your opinion in messaging someone that is looking to meet people who are at least xx if you are one year under that age. I’ve seen so many people that are looking to meet others who are at least 25 and I’m 24. Despite I’ve not messaged any of them I wanted to know your opinions. Is it acceptable to message, is it better not to message them?

You won't be able to message them if they set their filters for certain ages.

If they are willing to have messages from you get they’ll leave their filters open to that but you may not get a positive response because of their preferences

If they absolutely don’t want messages they’ll have their filters up and you won’t be able to message them and then there’s no issue

Either way, preferences are there for a reason. I'm sure there's loads of people that do want to meet someone your age. I actually took 24 year old to chams a few times, he was lovely.

I shouldn't worry too much OP, you have your whole life ahead of you! You'll always be in someone's preferred age range even when you reach my age!

Just be polite in your messages and accept a 'no' if that's the response you get whatever their age.

I always try to be as polite as I can. Never get angry if I get a “no” or don’t get a message. In the latter case I take the hint and don’t harass people. Plenty of people here in fab and, as you said, I’ll get to those ages

We opened our upper age range up as we met loads of couples at clubs that couldn't message us, but we have never lowered our bottom limit. Sasha isn't interested in the younger guys or couples right now and prefers roughly our own age or older.

My age will rarely allow me to message most people. But when I do message a woman or couple outside their age criteria, it's mainly to compliment them on their pics.

I'd think if they strictly don't want anyone outside that age range - the hard filter will be on and you won't be able to message anyway. Otherwise the age limit is a guide and they maybe willing to move outside it if they think you're right for them. What's the word that could happen other than getting blocked?

Or wait a year and if the age range doesn't move up as well message then

Thank you all for the little orientation! And for the compliment, it’s always nice to read nice things about oneself hahaha

At the moment I think I’ll focus on keeping improving my profile, contributing in the forum, trying to go to group socials, etc. And as you said, the 25 are just one year away

I do have age filters on,but sadly some still manage to get round it.

People set limits, that's their choice. But sometimes they will find you. I have been messaged a few times in the passed by ladies who I am outside of their age group. Personally I do really consider age that much.

I have age range specified but haven't set my filter , it's not set in stone and if there an attraction and connection then a few years either side ain't a problem
