All,

I realise as a middle aged single male, I tick very few boxes, but I've been on the site for a couple of months, and I'm getting nowhere.

I realise it's almost impossible to get to meet someone without a verification, and hope to get to a club soon to change that, but is there anything in my profile that is putting people off?

Also, I have sent polite, usually tongue in cheek messages to anyone I think I might pssibly have a connecion with, and understand that you ladies get thousands of messages, but hardly ever get a response, or even a profile view.

What am I doing wrong?

Your photos are blurred . Your happy to show your face so taking some decent photos shouldn’t be too difficult .

For a start 2 are blurry. I also would not put a profile pic of yourself. Leave something to imagination. Have a look at othef peoples pictures ti get some ideas.

Yes, no problem showing my face - I'm hoping that will make me stand out a bit.

I'm not very good at taking selfies, but will try again, and replace the blurred ones.

Either use the timer on your phone camera, rather than doing selfies, or get a friend to do some pics, and / or use a decent camera.

Profile has no major flaws... photos can always be better on everyones profile.

I think the problem is you are looking for a single female. 15 men to 1 woman is a common quote on fab. Why aren't you on regular dating sites? Much better chance on there. Women want sex, they just have more constraints. Just say you have a busy life and would like to find someone in a similar position.

This is a very visual medium so you need to be more visual - more pics, more variety - don’t take portraits face on cos they make you look like a wanted poster, take them from an angle. Write more about yourself. You say you’re intelligent but have a spelling mistake in your post. Makes me think mawahahaha!!!

Yes a single guy can host a party, attendance gonna depend on a host of factors, a much easier start is visiting a local club.

Not everyone agrees, but we do think good pictures are really important if you’re just going to try and meet via the internet, be it via fab or anything else. Look at some good successful guy profiles, they will have a combination of arty / teasing / moody / outdoors / action type pics, almost certainly not just selfies.

Maybe not a party, not unless you've a bit of a reputation or know lots of people on a personal basis.

I organised a group social. Picked a female friend of mine and we invited people together. As there was a female involved and we were both verified. We were taken seriously so invited a few select people.

There are loads of group socials all over, even forum socials you can request invites for in the meets Forum.

If you decide to go to a club, don't pay too much, equal rights and all that, speak with your wallet. There's no reason you should be ripped to get into swinging. Not all clubs are created equally, shop about.

Hi OP

You have a full face pic up, many here do not because it can lead to work colleagues, acquaintances and neighbours seeing their profile.

For a profile pic maybe just bottom half of your face(possibly with a smile).

Not sure about the chaps but most women read the profiles and look for a similarity of personality as well as an attraction.

Gentle self deprecating humour isn't just a way to make readers smile it's also a way to express you're not ego driven (a red flag to many women)

Detail about what you like and are like helps to build a picture for prospective partners. Dogging every Tuesday? Love BBW? Mostly vanilla? Inflation kink?

A hint on your photos...you need a different angle (there are guides online) and your strong brow means you shouldn't take pics in bright light, (you seem to screw up your brow in sunlight)

Either experiment with a timer or ask a friend to help.

Lots of areas have non club social meets, there's a regular pub quiz group near me. That would probably be your best route to verification right now.

Also, read the introductions section in the forums, has loads of good advice
