On Fab: your profile is how you sell yourself. Be interesting, engaging, positive. Messages, be polite and personal, hold to your boundaries, be respectful and have self-respect, base messages on profile text.

Clubs: ask the rules, gauge the vibe. Talk to people, all people, don't go in (acting like you have) / with expectations. Err on the side of not touching without asking, don't be creepy, small talk before sex talk.

Choose your swingers wisely as a lot are first class A-hole swingers, fake and nasty.

Good luck, it appears the clubs are the way to meet people but some places just sound so seedy.

If going to a club please don't follow women/couples around. It's creepy af. Be respectful at all times. Know your limits with alcohol if it impairs your behaviour. By all means approach people and chat but if you get the feeling they don't want to spend time with you then chances are they don't want to spend time with you. Move along but be polite. Never ever ask someone why they don't want to spend time with you, this will not end well for anyone.

Oh god yes. Alcohol is often bad news mixed with swinging. Preserve your judgement.

Be prepared for a lot of disappointment on sites like this, there are many frauds, time-wasters and photo collectors about. Just keep at it and don't give up.

In clubs, remember "no" means "NO!"

Good luck!

Be safe sane and respectful. You’ll come across newbies and veterans and everyone inbetween but understand that not everyone is or will be swinging the same way. You’ll have a wide variety of people so just make sure you know who you are and don’t pretend to be anything else.

Parties - don’t follow females or couples round like a stalking lap dog, it’s creepy and rude. Also don’t assume that everyone is “up for it” because they’re really not. Make friends with like minded people and find your own way around rather than forcing your way in, if that makes sense.

Online - don’t be pushy, and before you send that first message, read it back to yourself and think “what if I got that message, would I reply or would I think I’m a complete moron”.

Swinging communities can be really warm and welcoming but you’ll get the door slammed in your face just as quick if you don’t respect people.

You’re a year + in so I’m sure you’ve had some experience but I remember when I first started exploring so I’d recommend you read up on some of the threads here, the plethora of material online or just chat to people!
