Quality isn't always reflected in the price.

The best stockings and hold ups I've found are Primark and George at Asda.

If you find you are damaging them when putting them on make sure your nails are well manicured and your hand are smooth beforehand to prevent snags.

Primark are ok but I'm tall and find a they are not long enough.

M&S used to do a 15 or 20 denier high gloss plain top hold up, but I've not seen them for a while so they may be discontinued.

I like M&S for hoisery however it's only the larger city stores that stock them.

I agree with this or any thin gloves its so easy to snag them on a nail or tiny bit of rough skin.

I spent a tenner on a Debenhams pair because they had a deep lace welt and they didn't last five minutes.

I found a supplier via Amazon. Tudorose, a box of 10 for about £14 or so. They are very good value.
