"I've being shaving my plums for years, started shaving all my pubes last year, just recently started getting shaving rash, I use a safety razor with a fresh blade decent soap's shaving balms but still get a rash, any advice on pain-free hair removal " Try veet hair removal cream or get one of those body shavers they are ok or next time you shave your meat and two veg try doing it in a hot bath as it keeps down the razor burn, I just trim it down now as not to cause it.

"Epilate, the only way and lasts for weeks. " OMG I think the OP might want to keep his meat and 2 veg intact, epilate legs yes but anywhere with loose skin noooooooooooo

"Baby oil... along with shaving foam whilst in the bath. Once out of the bath, rub in some more baby oil whilst the skin is wet & that locks in the moisture, no rash. Works for me " Agree with Miss Bugs on this OP. The secret to a smooth shave on any part of the body is hot water , a quality razor and something to cool it all down after. I shave below in a hot shower.Try King of Shaves Tea Tree Sensitive Shave Gel A Gillete Mach 3 Turbo razor and to cool it all down front and back use Savlon cream applied every couple of hours for a couple of days. It works a treat and zero engrowing hairs...Tried waxing and was tedious, expensive and bot for me but an sure everyone who seeks a smooth undercarriage has a different way ... ??

I find veet can sting on any broken or cracked skin , not pleasant, I use a Philips one blade , it’s very good , now and then I get the odd cut but never feel a thing , it’s very gentle

"A few ladies in similar posts have mentioned shaving with hair conditioner. Haven't tried it myself but might be worth a try. Petsonally I shave in the shower using Dove soap. Once dried off I use Nivea after shave balm. Never had shaving rash." I've heard of the hair conditioner too. Seems to work pretty well

BUT DO NOT SHAVE AFTER VEET!! You will only do that once.
