"Just don’t all rock up together and stand and check in. What people usually do here (even if they are in a double and booked for one person), they go up to the room and then come back down ‘to get something from the car’ and then come back with someone. Believe me OP we’ve seen it all, also it sets some amusement between staff sometimes, especially if it’s a quiet night!! Or book a family room (depending on what kind of hotel it is, here we allow 4 adults into our family rooms, a hotel like PI or TL don’t). Danish x" That sounds like a ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

"On rare occasions hotels might check but this is only past a certain time say 10pm or summat. We all got checked when we stayed on a hotel in manc piccadilly last october. Nobody checked throughout the day until it was evening. But otherwise i don't think they are that stringent with checks anywhere. I've never been to a 5 star hotel though so can't say if their level of monitoring is the same for those. " Ahhh noted ![]() ![]()

"As a Hotel Manager with over 40 yrs expertise and with an emphasis on Front Desk Operations, the golden rule is not to draw attention to yourselves! Those who have booked the room, check-in by themselves. However you meet up with the 3rd person is up to you, but,I suggest you all meet in the Bar, or a Lounge if one exists and exchange details then, particularly on room location so the 3rd person knows where to go. Some city or town centre hotels MIGHT employ security people due to local security arrangements but in general, they will be specifically trained in customer relations; hotel security is vastly different from other Security environments. Just behave as you'd expect others to behave towards you. Only glitch in your plans would be in the extremely rare event of a fire alarm going off, and hotel policy is to Evacuate automatically! The 3rd person might have some awkward questions to answers, as hotel's are legally obliged to know exactly who is in each room." i must have to say that I have been in more hotel rooms than the guideons bible lol x never had a problem although I've seen the chambermaid going into the room I've just left with a sledgehammer to break the sheets lol ![]()

The latter is not strictly true as one person books a room,e.g. the guy of the couple books a double room, reception do not ask who woman is,could be a wife, fuckbuddy, friend or m a woman he having an affair with for all they know, plus I think the 3rd person would be long gone in an emergency half naked running to carpark or to catch a train ![]()
