Had new users on here that ask for your phone number and when you give it they don’t call or message you and don’t reply on here and block you ! Is this a scam I’m not aware of ,

I’ve stopped giving out my number now anyway but just wondering if anyone else has had this happen

Thanks in advance for anyone’s replies

If you are giving out your phone number and want to keep FAB away from your private life, make sure your phone number isn't linked to your Facebook. All someone would have to do is type in your number and your profile will pop up. Hope this is of some help to you

It hasn't happened to us because we use a separate payg mobile. It could be scam but im not sure what they could gain from having your number and if you've had no odd calls there's not much of a problem

Well, it could be a scam, or a time waister either way, look at different types of contact you can give out if you really want to, like Kim or Snapchat, or Instagram somewhere easy and mutual that way, you safe guard abit you personal info. But no to giving you number out

The same for us, we have separate mobiles that we use purely for swinging

I give my phone number usually when meet goes well. All arrangements prior to meet are done via fab only. Seems to be working.

Us too, PAYG is the way to go. We only have ours switched on during the day of a meet, it's only for travel hitches.

Good re-use of an old phone too.

Yes I've had some 'single' ladies pop up on my suggested friends in facebook.

Their story is completely different on there than it is on here

I don't think it marks a scam, it's more that it's potentially a way for others to feel more confident in you, such as being a single person who may be reliable.

It's always wise to assume here that the majority of people that you interact with, you will be unlikely to end-up meeting and shagging with them. And the bigger group of people that you start chatting with will generally all be valid and have interest, until such time as something changes that.

A lot of people also get a huge volume of messages and so their response time to one that you've sent, either reading it or reacting to it, may not be what you'd view as likely or quick. Someone may still be yet to read your message and could also be about to send you a text or call. It's wise to use a 'burner' type no, so that you don't get intrusive calls on work nos etc.
