Hi dose having a dog in the house put people off meeting? Iv got a puppy beagle and his always in when i have people over but dose it put you off? I think its a good ice breaker

I don’t like dogs. So for me I choose not to meet people with dogs.

I would be more inclined to meet someone with a dog, but I’m an animal lover. It’s nice to meet people who are on the same wavelength. Probably difficult to prise me away from a puppy though!

I love dogs so would get totally sidetracked playing with the puppy, on the other side our dog is one of the reasons we don't accommodate (besides the chance of kids unexpectedly arriving) we would have to spend the evening trying to detach him from the said man's leg! He likes new people

if you say beforehand you have a dog then they can make that desicion.i have a beagle so if they dont want to meet him their not worth the meet lol.

Kidding aside some are scared of dogs so prob best to say from the off if he's gonna be in the house.

Our dog will just go in his bed and sleep while we are having a meet. If we have a bit of a sit down before he falls asleep on the person.

If we wouldn't smell of a dog and wouldn't be covered in dogs hair when we leave then it's no problem.

You've just reminded me of the huge dog trying to break down the bedroom door of the man I was in bed with.

He was a lovely thing, but I was a little concerned.

I would have to lock my dogs in my living room if I had a stranger in my house. My boy dog growls at some of my family and friends, but not others.

I try constantly to make sure my house doesn't smell of dog.

But I remember one particular meet at someone else's house where the smell of dog was just disgusting. But there again, their whole house was grim. I felt sorry for the dog!

I wasn't impressed with their personal hygiene either.

Made an excuse to leave.
