Going to a club for the first time is pretty straight forward, it’s mostly newbie nerves that make it challenging.

Like any place where you’ll meet new people, you have to be prepared to engage with them. Say ‘hello’, introduce yourself and hold up your end of the conversation.

If you are honest about it being your first time, what you are looking for and what you are not, you’ll find people are welcoming.

Do you have a club in mind?

Maybe try and go when it’s not too busy, then you can explore the facilities more easily. If it’s quiet you could get someone to show you round. Some clubs have specific events for newbies - keep a look out for one at the club you’re looking at attending. Enjoy

Being in Lincolnshire (not far from us) your best bet is probably The Attic.

It's a great place, there's no need to undress if you don't want to, a wide variety of rooms & the staff are awesome, they'll show you around when you first arrive and be on hand all night if you have any queries.

Yes definitely go to a club where you are not expected to undress by a certain time...

I hate that rule... makes me uncomfortable

To be honest, that's one of our favourite things about The Attic. The whole place is dressed or dress down (we always start the evening well dressed but usually end up walking around naked)

We often choose partners based on how they're dressed, so those who make no effort get no reward, so non dress down clubs are ideal for us, and we think for newbies, as it's far less intimidating being fully dressed than half naked or wrapped in a towel.

It would have to be a weekend and when we can arrange for the kids to be looked after.
