How widespread is Viagra use in the swinging scene?

We’ve met some single guys over the years who have been in their 40s with what can only be described as a teenage erection. We suspected Viagra or similar but wondered if other people suspect it is used reasonably commonly for single guys.

We not frowning on it but obviously it’s an arms race if some guys perform better with it.

Yep used it in the past, had performance anxiety at a meet with a couple. So tried it at the next meet and had a really strong erection that lasted for ages. I have found a 3rd of a pill works best for me, when I use it.

Side affects with taking a whole pill, was a slight headache and I took ages to cum. With a 3rd of a pill I had no side affects. I am fit and healthy, so just a mental boost for new meets.

Don't need or use them for regular meets.

Read the directions. It won't "get you up" if there is no stimulus, but will help to sustain it. Lowest dose preferable, and does somewhat slow down ejaculation.

There are 3 different size of tablet - 25mg, 50mg and 100mg - so better to talk about mg doses rather than half etc.

I don't have any issues that would require my needing them and don't suffer from performance anxiety or anything like that, but did try one once at a party I held about a year ago that went on for about 15 hours?

I didn't have a headache or anything like that, but noticed that whereas normally I'm erect in about a minute with the right stimulation, it took only a few seconds after I'd popped one of these? It was a tad spooky really ha!

I tried the Boots over the counter Viagra. First tablet was when I went to BGHS - nothing, nada, zip. Second time was over Christmas when the family were here and my stress levels were off the scale. Be warned ....a 3rd of a pill used to work wonders with me ...now I can take 3/4 and the effect is sometimes nothing!. I think your body gets used to a dosage and you then need to increase it to get the same result. But eventually? May stop working altogether. So use it IF you need to.

I've never needed one to get an erection. Though I have had issues in the past. I knew it wasn't physical though, all my over thinking. I still have teenage like erections and I'm almost in my 40s. The few times I've tried viagra, I've never noticed any difference.. maybe a headache.

Not necessarily but it depends on how hard the guy gets without it, you'll return to normal when the effects wear off. I think you've hit the nail on the head with anxiety and recovery, those blue pills take all that away allowing you to play at will which is in guessing why they take them.

In my experience it didn't work like that I had a play mate who was so nervous with me that he wasn't able to maintain an erection, he went to the doctor and had sinderfill prescribed for him. He took them a couple of times a week and eventually didn't need them anymore as his confidence in being able to maintain an erection grew. Everyone is free to choose their poison, as it were. I'm not a medic but I would guess that the side effects of Viagra were potentially and immediately more dangerous than alcohol. And I personally want to have natural sex fuelled just by body chemicals. I wouldn't have sex with someone who had obviously had a lot to drink either. There must be a lot of insecurity around if people need to be off their face or chemically enhanced to have sex, which I find rather sad

I don’t have impotence but have been taking Viagra regularly for the last 15 years to Enhance play.

Never had any side effects other than taking time to come but then I don’t take any other drugs, not even alcohol.

This is a very honest and indeed useful comment on the benefits and use of this pill. Also a good reminder on the effect of alcohol.

I used it once and once only. Was given a half of a tablet because I was having difficulties. Like many others have said, headache, blocked nose and with me, bloodshot eyes. I`ve since found I shouldn`t take it at all because of my heart condition meds but I can take Vardenafil (Levitra) as it doesn`t mess with my other meds. I still get some vision irregularities similar to having a migraine headache at first but it all settles down eventually!

so while im not going to say dont take it ill say this instead just be careful yes its a wonder drug for many but for some it can turn into hell and as his heart consultant has said to him we are approaching the time when we get to see the real affect of the drug now its been out for many years and they are now finding out for many guys who suffer its a case of a more simple hormone treatment that is all thats needed...

Oh, what bad luck!

I know a few guys who are unable to take the drug because of heart conditions but they all continue to swing enjoying other benefits of the lifestyle.

All the evidence I've seen points to the drug being safe for those without chronic heart conditions. However with any drug there are going to be risks and one has to weigh up the positives and negatives.

I have always taken only a quarter of a pill to reduce the dose and have not been aware of any side effects in the 15 years I've been using the drug.

There are many more dangerous drugs which are regularly prescribed for all sorts of conditions, like any drug you should just take a sensible approach to Viagra's use.

I get them from the doctor at the lowest dosage, 25 mg. I just explained that I have trouble having sex multiple times in one night, the doctor looked slightly confused but suggested viagra. £8 for 8 pills. Someone gave me the highest dose once at 100mg and I thought I was going to die, went to bed in the afternoon and didn’t wake up till the morning but on the plus side I could turn the lights on from my bed. Rock hard and I mean solid.

I only use them for special occasions or club trips and even then I think it’s more of a psychological thing like.....I’ve done a viagra so I won’t get stage freight and I am a stallion tonight!!

I use them. Mine are on prescription. Doc thought my problems were due to stress as I used to have no trouble getting a stiffy first thing in the morning but struggled later in the day. I'm a fan.

Side affects for me are blocked nose (not entirely unpleasant) and delayed ejaculation. However, they have made me more promiscuous...
