Girls how do you get your “boned” lingerie to lie flat again after the wash it.

It’s amazing how much your lingerie box builds up in this world but I absolutely hate these plastic bones they put in them, one wash and it’s all over the place, I thought of ironing them flat but it’s very delicate fabric so I’m not sure, usually I just chuck them out but this one set was really expensive and I’m inlove with it. do you lovely ladies have any suggestions xx

the plastic boned corsets lose shape so quickly that's why I only use steel boned ones

The only thing with the steel ones is they seem to be with thicker fabrics, I love the sheer ones but yes might go for steel if I find sheer ones

How are you washing them? Gentle hand wash should be ok. I use steel boned corsets, but had plastic boning in a delicate lace dress, so I washed it by hand in the bath, gentle swirl, that type of thing, then rinsed it using the shower and let it drip dry. Gentle squeeze to get the excess water as didn’t want to distort the shape with ringing it out x

If it’s sheer and needs ironing just put a cotton tea towel or pillow case over it and iron that. It’s old and obvious, but works on delicate fabrics xx

Heat with hair dryer, lie on a flat surface and pop something flat and heavy on top (like a big book)

But yeah, steel boned ones are much better

That answers my identical question - such a simple solution. Thankyou

Just on the daily wash so probably my own fault but like to know it’s clean!!! Haha. Get everything out of it (hangs head in shame at the thought)

Yehh I gave the iron with towel over a go it didn’t seem to work but maybe it was too thick just don’t want to burn it, they aren’t cheap for the amount of material are they things we do
