Hi,

A user keeps blocking me and unlocking me when they want to snoop on my profile.

I can't catch them unblocking me, so I can block them in return.

When I search their name, it just says "user not found" as it would if they've blocked me.

I believe they're a fake user and they're being a bit of a pain to me and have for a while.

Could an admin block them on my behalf from my profile? Is this possible?

Please help. They're driving me mad.

If the OP isn't comfortable she is well within her rights to be able to block anybody she doesn't want looking at her profile. However, there is nothing to stop the culprit rejoining with another email account even if there were a way to block them currently.

She may need to accept ultimately that she cannot stop them....

I'm sure that if you go on to their profile even if it's blocked to you, you can still block them yourself.

Click on their profile, in the top right hand corner select menu and select block. Now you've counter blocked them, they can no longer view your profile as they please.

I can't because it comes up that the user cannot be found. So no top bar to counter block.

Because they're commenting on me in their status and speaking to my verifys about me in a derogatory manner.

I made a fake profile today to check this - deleted it again. They've definitely blocking me because I could see their profile on my temporary fake one.

Tbh this message was mainly for admin.

I get what other people say about me isn't my business but I don't like people spreading untrue rubbish about me. Esp as I don't know why. It's annoying and verging defamation surely?

what does it matter that they have viewed you ? ( repeatedly) . you have many photos in the public section so presumably you want to be looked at ? There could be any number of people viewing your profile in stealth mode. I am guessing it feels like you are being stalked?

I don't care about people viewing me, that's not my issue. They are clearly behaving like a troll towards me and I'm uncomfortable with that particular soul being able to see what I'm up to.

If they’ve blocked you OR if they are hiding you can still block them.

Click their profile - menu - block

Are you on the desktop version or mobile? On the mobile version you can still block people's profiles when you're on it even if they've blocked you.

I'm lost.

They're blocking you and you can't see them on a name search, however, you can view them on a separate profile. We've always been able to view profiles that have blocked us, no pics or text but the menu is clearly there. Didn't know this was even possible.

Op, please let us know how this plays out, would be very interested.

Try clicking report on this thread and say in there who you want to have blocked and perhaps say why as well so they can investigate. That way the message gets to admin. I've done this on another thread where I wanted my response deleted but it was too late to delete so I reported the message I wrote and asked for it to be removed. Later that day the message I wanted removed was removed.

I just went on a profile that i know has blocked us and i blocked it!

The menu button was still there... maybe the one you’re clicking on has left the site

Thank you. Someone has come up with a solution I didn't know I could try.

I think it's a desktop thing so maybe thats why i ddint knpw as im mainly a mobile user.

Apparently I can type in the name of a profile on the my account and block list function.

Thank you for everyone's help. Trying it now.

Being blocked wont bring the profile up on a search however blocked people can still read veris and then click the user name to block. Op if you can find out someone who th profile has veried you will be able to block that way x

Admin doesn't care if someone mentions your name in their status. I've tried to complain before and was told it's not against the rules.

If they are talking to the people who veried you then they can TELL Admin as well which will help your cause. It's very frustrating and annoying I know. Chin up babe. Xx

Thanks, I've found when you block someone everything goes.

I've blocked someone on here and their verification on other peoples profile hide, so i cant see them. It still says the person has the right amount of veris but it hides the ones of the person i've blocked.

Same for if they've blocked me, ive tested this theory with a friend before.

So i can't do it that way either.

I would ask your friends who have veried you to tell Admin as well. We had to do that when we first created out couple profile. An ex was harassing our meets etc. Hope this helps. Xx

I've logged onto my laptop and entered the user name into the block list name field on the desktop version, so im hoping (fingers crossed) it works.

They dont show on my block list, but this might be because they've blocked me, but I cant be sure. we will see.

What are you talking about. I've blocked you for the purpose of this thread, can you see my profile, no, but you can counter block via the menu at the top, give it a go. Will unblock you for the record, just a test case. Have you ever encou yes what the op is saying?

Both on the mobile and desktop versions it is possible to block and/or report a profile that already has your profile blocked.

Mobile - it's one of the items on the menu list which is normally three dashes, to the top-right of the screen, when you attempt to view a profile.

Desktop - when you attempt to view a profile, look to the top-left of the screen - there's a mini-menu with both the Report User and Block functions available.

I can read veris left by them who have blocked me, if i then click the username i get the "you can view this profile due to blocking" message come up, it's the same if i have blocked them, can read a veri they leave someone but can't see profile x

Me too. I just tried it with some idiots I fell out with ages ago. I could still block them, even though they blocked me first. So I'm guessing if the unblock me, ill still show as blocked to them.

I think it was a error with the webpage as I couldnt do it the way most of the poesters were telling me to. It wasnt a user error "doh" moment, it was a site issue.

My mate just messaged me the users profile url link and I got to the access the top bar that way. blocked.

When you next see they have looked at your profile click on their avatar which will take you to there profile but say you cannot view it then click on the symbol in the top right hand corner and you can report or block them or both.

In the mobile version of the website you can still block a user who has blocked you.

Paste this into the address bar adding their profile name to the end

https://m.fabswingers.com/profile/

It will tell you you can't view the profile but you'll still be able to click the three lines/menu button and then block them
