What are the obvious signs of a fake profile ? we seem to get caught out a lot

use Tineye image reverse that’s a great way to spot fakes and good fun also in all honesty they are ridiculously easy to spot especially the fake women

Does it seem too good to be true?

Do things seem off, explanations, pictures, or even language used?

Do they want to move immediately into dirty pictures or chat (not always fake, but can be a sign of someone with no intention of meeting)

Do their comments add up with each other and with other evidence?

Oh yes, reverse search any picture that seems too good to be true. Porn stars. Porn stars everywhere.

Yeah, for couples you want evidence that they both exist, know each other, know about/ consent to what's going on. It's true for everyone but obviously when there's two people involved it's more complicated. Is the wife always ill, at the shops, or sleeping, too shy to talk?

Conversely, some singles will try to spring a partner on you at the last minute.

On Chrome for Android, hold down on the picture and one of the options will be "search Google for this image". That's what I do. I don't think it's foolproof, but it catches a lot out.

The injury is to some degree permanent. But I'm a hell of a lot better than I was, and doing much better than predicted. Thank you. (I get why people called me fake, ha! Particularly as I messaged, sorry I can't I'm in hospital. A likely story! Those who didn't go straight to "fake" got hospital selfies if they wanted. Sexy

Crap there is permanent damage but great to hear your doing better than originally predicted.

I've never had anyone call me fake and its certainly hadn't hindered me meeting hot guys so don't think I'll bother!

I always get suspicious of profiles that are less than a day old, with no photos or information but the verification summary saying they have met someone but they haven't published it.

I do look at verifications as one of the best ways of telling if someone is genuine.

And if the veri chain is 1 person that is only verified by 1 person that is only verified by 1 person and so on. Asking for kik after 1 message is a give away as well especially when they would love to do a live pic of them holding a household object of our choosing ie bottle of milk or remote control but they can’t Cos the camera is broke, to then be followed up by them sending explicit pics of “themselves”

Yeah, veri chain is important. Writing style, who's verified who, etc.

We’ve been members of Fabs for around 9 years and only recently saw the thing about getting photo verified! Totally overlooked it before! However had veris from people we’ve met that prove we are both real so thankfully never had a problem

I get suspicious of the ones that are relatively new with a verification from someone equally as new, no photos or just photos of the male on a couples profile. I also get suspicious sometimes when a single female contacts us, you can tell when a message hasn’t been written by a woman I think!

For us its simple.

No veries... the longer they are on without them, the more likely that they are fake.

No pics, or pics that come back as used across the t'interweb.

Friends list... long, when taken with no veries its quite suss.

Poor bio.

Messages... when they go straight from "hello" to "I want to rip your knickers off with my teeth" then you can start to suspect they aren't genuine.

For us its simple.

No veries... the longer they are on without them, the more likely that they are fake.

No pics, or pics that come back as used across the t'interweb.

Been on a year and no verification and no picture verification.

I do use tineye and google reverse image but there are some that will come up if those pictures are on other sites (swinging heaven etc) not always fail safe but if doesn’t come up with a million porn entries then I feel better.

Verifications do not mean a thing as many are webcam only and none guarantee that the person will turn up.

Yep suspicions were right it was a fake profile which has vanished. Can only assume it's been reported by someone and removed.

... very common with the professional ladies trying to keep business off the site.

Very very quick veries usually within a day

Most are easy to spot

Not always foolproof though. Have reported a few fake pics to admin, with the links and they still stay on.
