Or, again, you could brush off your very best social skills, ring up your local club and get in, make new friends and see what happens. Anything in life is out there for the taking! You don't need to wait for others.

Tell the staff you are new and they will show you around and tell you the rules/etiquette. V unlikely to get anyone to go with you.
