I've had a 1996 honda stepwagon day van now for around 3 years and been up and down the UK tho camper conversions rare they are reliable and good on petrol

We dream of this (plus the free time to travel around one day). Kind of fancy converting a van ourselves so we can make it just as quirky as we want. Hope you find exactly what your looking for.

Weve been doing this for several years now .we have a large bed that fits 4 easily

Look for a Hymer 544, the one I had could make up a bed over 6 feet square

I converted a van about 3 years ago for touring Scotland. It has a fixed bed for 2 but space was an issue, not a lot of converted vans would have a tripple sized fixed bed , there wouldn’t be much room for anything else.

Suppose it really comes down to priority’s in the van, not sure if there’s a big swingers scene with vans that justifies a fixed triple bed. A fold up bed just wouldn’t take a pounding. These things are designed for holidays not orgies

Not quite true.

I built my own van i have a 6ft by 6ft8 bed which comes down in the middle for seats and passage through the middle with storage lockers underneath and that has had a few poundings. With separate 5ft kitchen and 3.5ft of cabin space with captain chairs up front
