Small friendly if somewhat basic club.

It has its fans, but if you want a really good night out we would recommend the trip to Sheffield and La Chambre, Isis has its place, but its not typical of the larger more classy newer venues.

LOL, La Chambre might be 'classy', but it's not very friendly at all. No point in paying the inflated admission fee just to sit in the bar being ignored. At least people talk to you in Isis!

I would agree, smaller clubs, are by there very nature always friendly clubs.

Ourplace4fun which is even smaller than Isis is the friendliest we have ever been to, in the larger clubs you often have to make more of an effort to chat to people.

We didn't find LC unfriendly personally, but we find it pretty easy to talk to people. We know others have done.

What exactly do you want from a club? Isis is small and friendly... which is a benefit in my eyes.

While Isis might not have all the bells and whistles of other clubs it is the people and atmosphere that make a club and in my eyes Isis cannot be beaten for that!

I have tried other clubs and while they have their place they don't come close to Isis for me.

I like La Chambre, i don't think they are unfriendly at all. Don't forget that although it is a club for sex, some people can be a little shy, you have to make the effort to talk to everyone

I think it is a good sized club allowing a range of different people.

What exactly do we want from a club?

Well, we want different things at different times, depending on our mood.

The description we gave of Isis is entirely honest.

We didn't say its a bad club or that there is anything wrong with it. However someone looking for a club with a lot of bells and whistles on may well be disappointed and a large percentage of people who go clubbing on the scene want a club with the widest range of facilities possible. Some people just want somewhere friendly and local, and we would agree that is great too. We often visit Ourplace4fun, which is even smaller than Isis, with less facilities, but still a great club. Someone who wants a swimming pool or a Jacuzzi or a dance floor or all three, would argue otherwise.

It's subjective and down to personal taste and requirements from your own night out at the end of the day, and we fully acknowledge that, but a club with that can offer the broadest range of things to appeal to the broadest range of people is always going to appeal to more people as a result.

This is why the owners of Fun4two in Holland are billionaires at the end of the day, not millionaires, its because they run the best club in the world.

Every club offers something different, but the best clubs offer as much as possible.

We've been to La Chambre 4 times, and there have always been people there that have spoken to us, so we don't agree that its unfriendly. We would agree that generally smaller venues to make it easier to talk to people Ourplace and Isis have that advantage, but they also don't have as many facilities, playrooms, dance floor or DJ'S playing music. While those things aren't always needed for us to go to a club, there is certainly a large percentage of people who do want some or all of those things, and that's why the clubs that offer them are packed week after week.

We wouldn't say Negative things about Isis, because its a well run, clean and friendly club, but its not wrong to point out there is more to see out there. Which is simply what we are doing.

Fair enough but first of all the OP was asking about Isis, not other clubs. And secondly, by saying that La Chambre is classier, you are slating Isis in a second hand way.

I stated my experience - that people at La Chambre were unfriendly and very difficult to talk to (yes, we did try) because it was suggested that Isis doesn't quite come up to scratch in your opinion. Thats fine. You stick to LC, I'll stick to Isis. We probably have different ideas of what constitutes fun and friendly.

Remember...its not just the facilities a club offers...its the ppl who go there and whether they are the types you wish to meet...

I love Isis for its friendly atmosphere and feel very comfortable there but do not find the ppl who go there are to my taste ad a rule...

So as much as I might like a specific club, I will always go where I know I will find my chosen type of playmate.

I think we probably actually like a similar vibe, because we will freely admit we have been to bigger clubs with lots of facilities that don't work anywhere well as they should and there are plenty of them. It wasn't our personal experience of LC, but we have friends who don't like LC so we would willingly admit that there are bound to be nights like that at any big club, and less likely at some of the smaller more intimate venue.

On the other issue - Yes the owners of fun4two are Billionaires, they are among the top 20 wealthiest couples in Holland, they own their own jet, which you would have seen if you watched the documentary on them, the jetstream they own cost 30 million, and their business has been valued at somewhere near that in addition to this they now own several other businesses. There average numbers through the door on a slow week are 1000 people, on a busy week its nearer 2000, plus their income from their rentals which are booked 99% of the year. So you might want to check your facts on that.

Comparing clubs in the UK to Europe is an unfair exercise. Ourplace4fun as an entire club is smaller than Fun4two's largest play room, but that's a topic for another conversation.

We will add we think small clubs can be great, and the UK has some small great clubs, and the two mentioned here certainly fall in to that category.

Isis was my first experience of a club. Easy to get to even using public transport. I have a car now, but I prefer to go by train, and taxi at the other end.The one-way system is nuts (especially when you have a satnav like _yrdwoman

). Still though, from a swinging novices point of view, I felt at ease straight away. Everyone was polite and friendly

, and if you are like me (i.e. friggin' nervous), you can stay fully-clothed, having a drink in the lounge area all night, and no one cares. From what I've seen of Isis, of the handful of time I've visited, the social side is very important to the folk who visit. Always someone to natter to

I'm not wanting to go as a couple, it's partly because iv had a look on google maps and can't tell which building it is, and also for friendly advice. I'd happily go down with a single male, it's not about having a sure thing lined up!!

Sadly I won't be going till I get my passport back though!!
