South Wales couple struggling

As a couple we are looking to meet other couples and women around Cardiff/Newport and our account gets a fare amount of "interest", winks fab's etc but the moment we message anyone or reply to the one or two messages we've received everything just stops.

Our messages are well written, polite and (on the rare occasion that the text or write up gives us any way of meaningfully doing so) tailored to the individuals at the other end.

Profiles around us rarely have anything more in them that "we look like this" and if we're lucky "we want that" so tailored ice breakers are hard work.

We've tried using the wink and fab'd functions to let other people come to us and break the ice, but it never seems to work.

Any idea's? Any advice? Feel free to look at the profile just incase there's something majorly wrong there.

PS. We know about munches etc but we're yet to find one in our area that sounds interesting. The one we attempted to go to was a load of people older than us drinking in a noisy bar and we just quietly left.

Our free time is a little cramped so while we like the idea of a group social we are currently unable to find one we want to invest in.

Hi OP.

If you are struggling to get conversations going with people I would probably tweak your profile a little. The text reads well but maybe some different photos would help. Your 4 public pictures are all of the lady so it may help to put some on of the man too - after all anyone who meets you will be meeting you both. It's always nice to see both people in the same picture too.

Have you tried visiting clubs and/or organised socials? It can be much easier to make connections in person rather than relying on messaging.

You should double check one of the photos lol.

But starting out is the hardest part on here . We found using webcam chat worked for us to get into the scene . And made friends with couples on the chat pages. That way you can lesuirly talk and more in the comfort of your own home and not have to worry about wasting time

A photo of you both together would be nice and an idea of what level bsdm you’re into. I’ve always found that if you read your own profile out loud, the other person can spot anything that’s sounds odd. Try taking it slower at first with a social and see what happens. Apart from that, it’s a case of being patient.

Thank you for pointing out my error, albeit unnecessarily.

OP as you will have noticed from my earlier reply to you and the subsequent response, if your photos show you some distance away it can be difficult to ascertain who is actually in the image.

We've looked at the larger social scene and as said in the original the one "munch" we tracked down in our area wasn't anything that we'd be interested in joining. And we're not disinterested in the club scene the feeling we get in our area is we just wouldn't meet anyone our age and for us it'd be allot of time/money to throw away. Anyone here know anything about the newport club scene? would it be worth it for someone looking in the 20-40 age bracket?

Despite your rather negative review of the "munch" you went to (don't know if you mean a fet-based one or one of the organised socials that happen fairly often in South Wales), our advice would be to go to socials, network, make friends and see how it goes.

Most swingers in the club in Newport are in the "middle aged" bracket.

Build up verifications by meeting people in clubs and at parties. It’s easier when you have some veris to vouch for your cred.

Also some couples - like us - avoid new couples because the evening inevitably has to be about them. That’s totally understandable but can be a bit of a bore for the other couple. For example, we have limited time, know what we want and like to meet couples already on the same wavelength. Others will take great delight in initiating first timers - good luck finding some!

You're a fairly alternative couple, not knocking it but I'm afraid it will make it harder for you.

Think you may find Fet the place to be for what your looking for although there are a few of us kinksters here lol. We have noticed a younger element in the Newport social at times so it may be worth your while trying it.

Hi OP. What a gorgeous profile. We have found that any mention of BDSM drastically reduces the interest on fab. And whilst fet may have some lovely people on it, it is not an easy site to actually meet on in our experience. Maybe some forum posts around your interests will catch the eye of those similar. Further tweaked the profile, found another reference to remove. Thanks for the rest of the advice, fet life is useless for actually meeting anyone, it seems to be some weird taboo to talk about meeting people on there. Still find it a bit weird that people are showing so much interest but don't want to talk. For now will keep plugging away and wait for someone who doesn't mind us being new.

There's always chams newport or travel up to Chams Darlaston as quite a few people do from your area.

Thanks for the socials updates. The Newport one isn't open to us and we're busy on the 12th for the Bristol one but well keep an eye open for future dates. No rush really, we eager sure and we've been at this for almost 6 months now one way or another. So especially with the unusal pattern of contact then radio silince we've been experiancing on here I'd thought I'd seek out some advice.
