Why would anyone choose to sleep with someone on a first meet after chatting happily for a couple of hours. And then later say there wasn't a connection? Any ideas?

Because after reviewing the entire meet they felt that there wasn't enough compatibility to meet again.

Do you mean after the messages? Some people are happy to establish a connection via messages. We like to meet socially first to see if there's common ground though

What they thought was there before things got physical did not translate well enough for them. I have enjoyed meets at the time but afterwards thought no, not for me.
