Best advice I would say is. This. The pushing might seem counter-intuitive but really does help, stops you clenching for a start but also helps relax the sphincter. Plus lube and maybe a trip to the toilet first? Start with a finger and work your way up and remember just because some can and do doesn't mean that you can and will like it.

Note that without enough lube it'll hurt just as much as you might expect and could put you off forever so go mad with the lube and slowly reduce it to an appropriate amount by trial and error.
