Looking for advice on first messages, I never know what to say at the start, or how sexual to be, just looking for friendly advice

Manchester (she/her)

Read the profile and go from there. Should give you a clue.

Failing that, here's a blueprint that I'd love to get.

Hi, I'm (type of person). I like your profile because (reasons/ shared interests). (elaborate on reasons and interests a bit) It'd be lovely to hear from you. Happy Fabbing.

Brighton - even Hove!

Make sure your first message has no spelling mistakes in it.

Read their profile, read it another couple of times and then write to that profile. Write to the text on that profile and not the pictures.

Yeah, I find messages that are all about my pictures annoying.

And then ONLY if you match what they want. Just trying for the sake of it will get a delete.

This type of question does worry me though. OP how would you talk to a woman in a pub? What's the difference?

As said above a few times read profiles and base your message on that. There is no magic send to all message after all.

My pet hate. If your writing to a couple, write to the COUPLE. it's amazing how many men write to Candy alone as if I don't exist.

Do your homework. Comment on their posts and threads.

Eg "Haha, I never knew that's how he got that nickname"

or

"Actually I've got the answer to that question, you've been looking for"

Just remember that the best approach is most likely to be the least sexual. They know you fancy them, cos you sent them a message.

So apart from sex, what can you bring to the party? This is a good mantra. We are more than just our genitals: we have eyes and minds as well as imagination.

Just ask yourself, what would you reply to in your inbox?
