Single women in clubs ....

As a single woman, I have gone along to clubs alone many times. But not in the past few years. Life and all that. But I’m just curious what men, couples and even other women (and all other new and developing genders in between ) think when they see a single woman who has gone along to a club, alone? Stupid? Confident? Vulnerable?

As prey Nah seriously it does take a lot of confidence for a woman to go a club on her own. So they are not gonna be stupid or suffer fools. A lot could easily bring a a guy as well so it is usually their choice to go alone. I have found most to be social butterflies.

I get a lot of clubs by myself, I try to chat to people. I think occasionally couples may feel a little bit awkward, but most people see it is quite normal I think.

Thinking about it it's probably actually me that can feel awkward occasionally around couples rather than them with me. I find it hard enough to find one person I'm attracted to nevermind two, so although I mostly socialise at clubs any way, I can sometimes feel slightly awkward if they for example I'm only attracted to the female or the couple as I wouldn't like to take their time away if there might be other people who could give them a more fulfilling night, if that's what they were looking for.

I quite like taking one of my swing pals with me but sadly, it’s often a logistical nightmare.

Yeah I think so, people expect men to go alone but not women. I think confidence in the club they go to is also a factor.

I quite often get people saying 'oh you're brave.' Not at all, I'm just doing something I enjoy. I've had some of my best club nights alone, pleasing myself as to what I do - don't get me wrong it's great fun going with someone but a very different type of night.

In reply to the OP, confident and in control of her own desires is what first comes to mind. (Which is hugely attractive!)

And anything else depends purely on how the person is - apparently women aren't all the same...

Honestly it’s the easiest thing in the world for me to go clubbing on my own. If I went to the pub or a nightclub I’d probably be largely ignored . Walk into a swingers club and I’m the most popular person there, it’s a huge ego boost (accepting it for what it is of course which is largely temporary and somewhat unreal).

I can chat, dance, laugh, mingle and occasionally I may get filthy but I always have a great night out.

In a world absolutely over run by over confident blokes who seem to think they can just stick it in the first woman they see... regardless of the situation I think it takes quite a lot of balls for a single woman to attend a club alone. Someone said above that they become the most popular person there when they walk in, for a lot of people that would trigger a serious feeling of anxiety. It's got to be like running through a cornfield and being hit in the face by the corn... except it's more of a cock field and being hit with cocks. Honestly upon re-reading it sounded better in my head. Once they're in the moment then yeah, the attention has got to be flattering but that first time... I'd be too nervous to do it myself.

If you find blokes that over bearing in a club then you are in the wrong clubs.... A lady should have plenty of attention but in a good way, not feel like she is a piece of meat surrounded by hungry dogs. Club staff should sort out places like that as its generally fairly easy to spot. I've worked in a couple clubs and I know I certainly wouldn't let it carry on x

A more sensible answer this time. I think the more immediate response would be that they're brave. But a good club should make everyone feel welcome and safe. I don't just mean the staff (though obviously they're key) but the other guests too. Our local club has a thread solely for single women first timers so they have a friendly face at the club. And of course saying No loudly should get lots of people coming to your aid.

So to answer your question...not much other than we think you're another *potentially* interested in having fun, and we hope you do x

I have gone as a single female before, mainly to socialise. Never had any problems. But then I go to a club where I know alot of people as well.

But then again it could be that my resting bitch face scares most people away. Lol

I go to clubs alone but it can be daunting, but I'm a 'go-getter' in life. You have to go after what you want in life, it isn't handed to you on a plate.

I take a deep breath, walk in with my head held high and smile.

Hoping to venture to a new club on Monday as it happens.

Should be banned, along with single men.

Plus, all those who bring nothing to the party.

What’s the difference between reality and cyber sh*t. Smiles.

Just love a confident lady, with vulnerability of a sexually open minded sensuality (well L certainly does, okay, I agree).

Fun is the name of the play to us.

Cannot understand, why it is so focused and less expansive.

Seriously tho, I admire single ladies that go to clubs on their own and I feel it's far safer to go to a club for some fun than it is to take someone home from a pub or nightclub. More single ladies should go to clubs xx

I have gone to clubs both alone and with friends. Being alone in a club has always been fine for me Personally. I think it depends how chatty or confident a person is. I know men suffer the same insecurities as us ladies do.

I always feel safe and the staff in clubs I've been to have always made sure I'm ok too as they do with others . Xx

I enjoy going to my regular club on my own. I feel safe and love the relaxed fun sexy atmosphere. Would not be as confident walking into a regular pub, as I think it's more of an unknown how the evening will be.

Read *most* of the replies first of all, I don’t have a husband. Or partner. I please myself. So now that’s cleared up ....

I used to go alone because I’d gone with ‘meets’ in the past and found it awkward so I decided to go on my own so I could do my own thing. I could talk to who I wanted, play with who I wanted (if they wanted to of course haha). I just found that a lot of people must have thought I was vulnerable or ‘desperate’ because I went alone but believe me, I can hold my own and that definitely isn’t the case haha. I also had the ‘omg your so brave’ comments but I like to do my own thing and do whatever makes me happy if that makes sense.

Just wanted to ask the question

Ooooh yes. Many times. Because I’m on my own and seen as ‘vulnerable’ to the creeps. But like I said, I can hold my own lol. "

I'd end up giving one a black eye and I'm not the violent type. What I mean is, I find it disgusting how those types of guys think touching a woman in a club without permission is acceptable. Yet would they touch a woman in public without permission? No! Just because where us single ladies are doesn't give them the right to grope our bodies without permission. I wouldn't stand for it. It's no different to sexual assault somewhere else, yet it's kind of tolerated because us girls are in that type of club!

Up on them there hills

"Read *most* of the replies first of all, I don’t have a husband.

As we are talking about ladies, there are some (usually inebriated) who have been known to help themselves in clubs.

I’ve gone on my own more than I’ve gone with someone and it doesn’t bother me at all, I’ll happily walk in a club solo and go find myself some fun.

I’m a bit of an independent person in real life so why should swinging be any different, note i said independent not confident, I still have little internal freak outs about it and despite getting laughed at when I say it, I can be quite shy but if I want some fun and an orgasm that isn’t by a battery operated device I’ll head to a club and tend to get what I want/need without someone holding my hand.

I prefer to go on my own there I don't feel beholden to anyone. The first time at a new club can be daunting but then I tend to go when I know someone else is going. Clubs are a social thnig for me its not just for play its good to meet like-minded people.

"As a single woman, I have gone along to clubs alone many times. But not in the past few years. Life and all that. But I’m just curious what men, couples and even other women (and all other new and developing genders in between ) think when they see a single woman who has gone along to a club, alone? Stupid? Confident? Vulnerable?

Come to Flaunt on the 17th in Blackpool and we'll tell you in person

You tell her, I'll show her

Seriously tho, I admire single ladies that go to clubs on their own and I feel it's far safer to go to a club for some fun than it is to take someone home from a pub or nightclub. More single ladies should go to clubs xx"

Agreed!

And yes we shall see you on 17th!

Swinging clubs are a safe environment for women on their own. Most reputable clubs look after single women and make sure they are ok throughout the night. Much safer than going to a normal night club, and at least if you do click with someone you have somewhere decent to have fun, with people around you to help keep you safe, not down an alley way, in a loo or back to a strangers place on your own. Staff will call cabs at the end of the night. You can get to explore fantasies like 3somes or larger group sex or fun with a couple as well as men on their own. You also get to dress up in very little, which you could not get away with in normal clubs. I would recommend.
