Friend invites without chatting??

Jump to newest

We have had a lot of people send friend invites without a simple hello. We find this very rude and ignorant.

Would it really hurt to talk first?

It is very frustrating, as they block you when you say you won't accept until spoken first.

God they do my head in. Especially when they're 100+ miles away. We're never going to meet, ever, why on earth would we accept that?

If it's pics they want there's plenty on Google lol or in porn mags.

Haha, we had somebody do this and accepted it, two minutes later we get a message, but you don't have any pictures there.

No shit sherlock.

They are just pic hunters.

We just leave their invite there so they can't send another.

I disagree. I sometimes send out a wink and request so if you’re interested you can look at my pics and respond. As a single guy we waste a lot of time sending messages without reply. I find it cuts that bit out

We had one yesterday from someone who states on their profile that they don’t like facial hair. Mrs Absolutebeginner refuses to shave her beard off for anyone!

Keep them on the list, if you delete they can keep re-adding you.

I don't get many of either but Friend requests without a chat, at least, first is pointless and annoying

We just block them straight away. We don’t show our naughty/face pics on our profile they are friends only and believe that people who do this just want to see this type of pic.

I find it rude and presumptuous. Our friends pics predominantly have our faces in them so not comfortable having lots of people having access to them

We don't really mind random friend requests but we hardly accept them unless we like the look of the sender and they have private pics of their own

We don't have any face pics on our profile and our private pics are mostly just similar ones to our public shots. Sometimes we're sneaky and will wait until the sender is offline before accepting and having a quick perve at their pics before unfriending them again

But on the other hand, and as stated in many a thread on here..most messages sent from guys on here never get read and the same with winks, they never get responded to. So the other option for them, is to send a friends request and hope for the best, and maybe if it's excepted they will chat then.

Hiding in the shadows

Rude!

It's on my profile, I don't accept random friend requests unless we've chatted first, so anyone who sends one, either hasn't read it or doesn't care.

If they've not read it, why do they want to be my friend?

If they've ignored it, I don't want them as a friend.

Oh, then there's the ones that send "Hi" followed by a friends request - Thst doesn't count as chatting

We just ignore and block after checking out their profile. Amazing how many of them have no friends only pics themselves. Some have no pics whatsoever.

We wink if we like you. Then if you return the wink, we will DM you and see how things go. Its then 50/50 If we sent a FR. Sometimes say"if you like what you see then why not send a FR".

It’s rude and annoying!

We state on our profile that we won’t accept friends requests from people who haven’t spoken to us and we will block the senders. Then we do exactly that if people choose not to read our profile or to ignore what’s written on there

Same here. We clearly state we won't meet smokers or males with facial hair, but the number of messages we get from smokers who have huge beards is ridiculous. They almost always claim to have read our profile too but get all shirty when we say we don't meet males with beards. They only have themselves to blame.

We'll be accused of being beardist before much longer with all the other PC crap that's going on at the moment.

The ones that really make me roll my eyes are those who state their preference for slimmer ladies on their profile but message or friend request us. It’s more than a little obvious just by looking at our photos that I’m the opposite of what they find attractive. If we respond and point it out to them that I’m a fatty they get all shirty about it. I think Fab should offer free literacy lessons to some, then maybe they would actually read profiles

It’s the digital equivalent of walking in a pub spotting someone you like the look of and lifting their top to look at their boobs/moobs without even chatting them up first!

Entirely unacceptable and always a blckable offence in our book

We find it annoying as it states on our profile don't friend request without chatting, we even say no porno pics on there so obviously not reading the profile, just random invites. We don't usually do friends until we have met to be fair, only rare occasion we do before meeting if we get a good feel for people

I delete as it makes me feel cluttered to have them sat on my profile. If someone persistently adds, they get blocked - they must know they've added 4 or so times so they must also know it's deleted; if they can't take a hint...

I detest that when it happens. I leave their invites on the request and this prevents them resending again.

Most are from guys who either live miles away or I would never have any interest in meeting them.
