Good day everyone, I hope you're all well and enjoying the site.

I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and ask for any hints, tips and advice on how I can improve my profile? I've never been very good at filling out 'about me' sections generally. I know every girl is different, but are there generic information you look for when perusing a guy's profile?

With regards to messaging, any advice on what could increase chances of a reply? I understand it's up to the girl whether she reads it/replies to it, obviously. But I don't know if there's anything I can do to increase my reply rate. I do endeavour to tailor each message to each individual lady. I was brought up to be polite when introducing myself so I never "go in all guns blazing" from the off - should I? Is it necessary to attach a photo to every message?

I completely understand patience is a virtue. I'm just seeing if there's anything better I can do. Any hints/tips/advice/help/constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated.

Your opening message is all important when you're looking for a meet. For instance, we just got one from a guy with no pictures that just said, "meet me at my hotel Tuesday ******** (name & address)"

When we get this type of message, instead of replying we delete it & block the sender.

Trick is to personalise your message to suit your reader, and include a little about yourself. Most people also appreciate a face pic too.

I agree with previous post--requests/demands to meet are not even read.

I like messages that make me laugh, and will always respond to those. Not just a joke, but something truly random that stands out. I always liked to know that a man I met is capable of seeing the funny side of things.

All the wonderful women I've known on here have agree with me on that one, though of course I can't speak for everyone.

Personally, I don't care to hear in a first message what your stats are (can read the profile for that) or how wonderful a man thinks he is.

Don't be generic. Every one else is either aiming at a middle of the road try and meet anyone, which doesn't make you stand out.

Be different, be selective, be honest. But be yourself.

There are thousands of bland male profiles out there which say nothing more than I want sex and I'll be what you want me to be to get it.

I have gone to the extreme and still get messages.

Just to thineself be true. Everything else will fall into place.

I would never send anything like that as an opening message, I never understand people who do either. They message like it's a sure thing, almost like it's because you owe them and it's the least you should be doing for them. So I don't blame you for deleting and blocking it!

Thank you again for your advice. I think writing relevant messages can be a bit of an art, especially for someone not as articulated as I should be. But it is something I will work on

I don't blame you are all for deleting any demanding messages.

They do say laughter is the key! I'm not a very witty guy - probably why I watch so many comedy shows, for inspiration! - but I do try to appeal to each individual. But like you say everyone is different.

I think you're right regarding the stats part - like you say that's what the profile is for - and if someone going on about how amazing they are, it's not a great reflection on personality.

I will be the first to admit I am generic and aim down the middle to try and meet anyone - I have a slight "please everyone" complex. Definitely something to work on!

You're definitely right about the bland, same-old-same-old male profiles on here. I tried to avoid falling into that trap but completely missed! I suppose with more experience and confidence comes more individuality and self-expression?

I've heard a lot of girls - people generally - are not impressed by cock pictures on profiles. Especially as the main one. So I learnt from that! Plus it's not my style, not body confident and all.

Loving the pun! But you are so true, I'm in a category where there is a lot of competition - and the ladies deserve someone that they want and need - so I need to do more to stand out and accentuate my individuality.

I never even considered the point regarding why I can't accommodate, I will certainly give a reason! I'm not 57, I'm 30; I clearly haven't differentiated between my height (5'7") and age (30).

So, I decided to put a cock pic in public but it still didn't improve my success.

Maybe my profile is too bland/polite?

Should I be a bit more graphic/explicit about what I am looking for then?

One profile I replied too expressed a particular interest in anal. So I replied positively and explicitly. Deleted...

I guess I'm just not that good looking, but, again, I have seen plenty of 'average' looking guys who have had meets with very attractive girls.

There must be a formula, but damed if I know what it is.
