Lockable toy box!?

Hey all,

I have a family visit coming up and I’m seeking a lockable toy box to hide my stuff in..

I’m fairly sure they are not the snooping kind but I need it for a peace of mind! Haha

Ideally it should be fairly roomy (30x40x30 or something alike, you get the idea) and definitely have the option to be locked.

Any suggestions as to where to purchase such..?

stick them in the loft till they have gone.i would be a bit miffed if family started looking through my stuff

I have a simple wooden chest from argos (about £40) with a latch on it (£5)

Slightly larger than your dimensions but it holds 90% of all our toys with tons of room left for more

Don’t have access to the loft and as said above in my OP, it’s mainly for a peace of my paranoid mind... I just want them to be locked away for the duration.

As it’s getting to the end of holiday season, a few places are doing suitcases cheap.

I used to keep my toys in one until they outgrew it.

Most have zip locks now or just use a small cable tie

Homebase, Argos, eBay Amazon. All do safes and strong boxes in a variety of sizes.

Yep - the only downside is the only one they had at the time (that wasn't ridiculously priced) was bright orange!!

Guess it won't get lost I suppose!!

We have a metal gun case we carry our toy collection in to parties. Nicely padded and can hold a whole lot. Fairly classy solution, with a number lock. Sub £20 on eBay.

Aluminium flight cases (often used as tool boxes). Lockable and if you want you can use dividers and foam cut outs to keep all your favourite toys neat and ordered. It's what I use.

A friend of ours uses the lockable silver flight case style tool box from B&Q for all her toys. It also has black foam padding that you can arrange to make compartments.

Suitcase with a padlock or combination lock. I use suitcases to store out of season clothes so an extra one on top of the wardrobe wouldn't look out of place!
