Hi All

I am not the “spelling police”, my spelling is awful, so I have the sense to check it, but I do laugh every time I see:

1. “We are a proffesional couple”. What profession exactly is it, where you can’t spell it?

2. Writing in text speak - If I wntd 2 d-code jibRish I wud wrk @ Bltchly Pk!

3. EVERYTHING IN CAPS. JUST HOW IRRITATING IS THAT!

4. People who leave the settings as 'looking for men', but then repeat 15 times in their profile that they don’t want single men, and are pi**ed off with the contacts they get. Change your settings people!

5. One line entries - “Looking for shag” Mmmm, like that's going to work, isn't it? Or “I’ll fill this in later” means "I'm too busy, one-handed surfing, looking at the profile pictures."

So, what else annoys you in profiles?

[But please, do not post usernames of peoples profiles here, saying what you think is wrong with them, which would be rude. NO NAMING AND SHAMING in the forums, that’s one of the rules. Just generalities please…]

Flirty14u

(...which is kinda like textspeak! D'oh!)

Aarrrhh the beauty of swinging, part of the attraction is that it covers every single level of life and ever type of person, and whats more most people except it and dont worry too much about it.

Spelling,.. it doesnt bother us, there are going to be very good swingers out there who are dislectic..[probably spelt wrongly] and there are dustmen who are profesional people, I am a postman, and I think I am a professonal

What does annoy me though is the people who expect to get something for nothing, the `swingers` who only think of themselves and what they think exciting. these usualy come up with one liners and grumble when nothing comes their way

Capitals,..well we can live with, but find it hard to read

What you have missed out on in your list is the profile that says `will answer all mail`,.. but dispite being careful to read a profile correctly,.. will clearly read your message and completly ignore you

I must add here though, that I have seen some womens, and couples in-boxes, and can well understand why many of the people dont reply.

Single women especialy are inundated with guys and couples who think they will try their luck, after all there are not too many of them.

So although it does annoy me when we dont get a reply back, when we have been careful to read the profile,.. we have to understand it sometimes, and simply except an none answer as a`No`..... and move on

What annoys me most on profiles.......

Single men who 'big' themselves up on their profiles by declaring they are fit, handsome, good stayer.... blah blah blah......

Then either have a 2" cock or can't get it up!

oooooohhhhhhhhh

And newbies who think that swinging is easy then go all flacid when the time comes to 'get down and dirty.'

oooooooohhhhhhhhh

And couples where there's a piccie of the woman but nothing of the man and he turns out to be a complete munter......FFS people... if ya hubby is a minger then tell us before we meet.

oooooohhhhhhhh

And black men who think that ALL white women must fancy them because of some over inflated falicy that they have bigger schlongs than white men

oooooooohhhhhhhh

And marrieds........pretending to be single or openly admit to being married and openly admit to cheating on their partners.

What annoys me most? probably the married, cheating scumbags who think it's ok to 'pretend' to be single just so they can get, what they perceive to be, an easy shag.

Ooohhhhh Maddie the gobshite is back.

They don't shave cus they think they are doing you a favour, either by proving they have gone through puberty or by saving you money on dental floss.

I'm certainly not naive enough to think all white women (or other women) for that matter fancy me either because i'm black or have a decent sized cock, its how its used at the end of the day. Just thought i'd throw that out there. But i certainly agree with 99% of what _adchick said in her post.....

Im sure I'll get a cyber 'kick in the nuts' and be accused of not respecting privacy but my gripe is .....

Profiles which have the verification sign (green tick), yet show no text further in the profile form the verifier.

Surely the purpose of verification is that somebody is willing to vouch that the person/s is as their profile states. It doesnt neccesarily have to contain how good/bad/pretty/handsome the profile owner/s is.

Whats the point of verification if its from a silent voice? It leads me to think that somebodies acting in an underhand manner.

i kind of agree with the verification thing, however, if you meet quite a lot of people and everyone verified you then you would have a very long page! and lets be honest if you've read 1 or 2 then you generally get the picture of what the person is like. i've met a few people and haven't been verified and i've also chosen not to put a few on my profile.

Sorry I neglected to be precise ...

I meant when no verification remarks are left visable for other members to be able to cross-refer.

I understand your point of ing out or not displaying all verifications.

Ive had to delete almost a gagillion myself Nat

on another note, a big dilemma with me comes when i get messages from guys who are 35+ saying they have read my profile, it's very hard sometimes to refrain from replying with "clearly not or else you wouldn't be sending me a message" on the other hand, sometimes guys send nice messages and complimenting me on my photos.. herein lies another dilemma! as much as i would normally reply with thank you, i have found that this seems to be a signal with said guy to engage in further conversation, and then i feel like i'm back to square one!

In responce to `_itfunguy

Our verifications are hidden, they are hidden because who we play with has nothing to do with anyone else,...we dont know how many times we have heard someone who gets mad because ....`you played with them, what wrong with us`...

Its enough that we are verified, our meetings are not notches on a bed post

Everybody has their own rules and I unfortunately to my detriment have to agree with you.

If you responded to males outside of your 'looking fors' then yes, they might get the wrong siganls and try to engage you further.

Maybe FAB should also have a descriptor that says 'willing to converse with but not meet' as Im more than capable of conversation that befits many years my younger *(joke)

Reply to sugarxspice

Theres my cyber 'kick in the nuts' lol

My first comment certainly wasnt aimed at yourselves and was probably written in a not specific enough way. I have read your profile and do indeed respect privacy of all.

From your profile and from taking time to read your forum posts I can accept that you are genuine and indeed play a huge part in the FAB community. This is by taking time and evaluating, forum posts, verifications and photo-verifications (as I too have recently submitted).

As you have said possibly in another part of the forum, verification is just an indication, not a guarentee of safety or satisfaction.

My original point was that a green tick alone provides nothing to work with, and it was my gripe/opinion.

Not necessarily a correct assumption, but one for discussion.

lol, I am sorry if you thought we had aimed a kick at your `nuts`, it wasnt aimed anywhere, just a comment.

To be honest we do see both sides of the story, but do not agree with those who like to compare who has been with whom, simply because everyone is differnt, every meet is different, we will meet people who excite us and who we think we will get on with, not because they met Aunty May and Uncle Joe

and I apologise for dragging your profile into the post, I was merely using it as a good all round 'trusted' one, unlike some that have little or no information.

Can i add to this one.

I have a very good reason why had to hide my verifications in the past and would rather not let everyone see who i have met, even though they are good ones (dont wanna feel like i blowing my own trumpet)

And that is some sad wierdo decided it would be fun to contact who i had met after him and start agrivateing them (if only i could name and shame)So i think its only fair for them and myself to keep who ever i have met private.

Again, as I said in my earlier post to Sugar&Spice, I totally understand your need for privacy and you were unfortunately on the recieving end of a bad deal.

My gripe was about a few, the ones who unlike yourself have no other means of verification or indeed their existense other that a little tick that couldve been gifted by themselves on another PC!

I know your raising your views and I totally accept them as valid and understood and hope you dont have any repeat performances (no pun intended).

How about another comment I have seen:

"We don't meet mingers!"

Now, everyone has some hang ups about their body, and very few would say they are perfect in every way, so comments like that just make people critical of themselves, and you won't get contacts!

Note to self: Stop showing people how to better their profiles, they will all catch up with how great mine is!

In reponse to the "dont meet mingers" - we are confident enough in ourselves to know that we aren't a bad looking couple, but also self aware enough to know that we are not to everybodies taste far from it.

That comment (or similar) in a profile doesn't make us question ourselves, it just makes us think "arrogant pricks" and dismiss them at that stage. We're not interestted in people that are up there own arses and that sort of comment smacks of it.

Ah yes, but the word 'minger' is soooo subjective don't you think.

After all, I like my men to have some meat on them, to have short hair, to be clean shaven, not rugged looking etc etc.

Therefore, what I deem to be a minger isn't going to be my best friends idea of a minger (she likes them rough, ready and with facial hair)

What I hate is the single men profiles that state they are handsome, fit blah blah....... to me, in general, they are neither. To others they may be, but the word handsome is also as subjective as the word minger.

Reply privatelyReply in forumReply +quote

If someone is crass enough to put "We don't meet mingers" on their profile then that's enough to say to me "Do we really want to meet anyone as insensitive as these people?"

You don't have to say what you are NOT looking for on your profile, only what you ARE looking for. A profile is about being positive and as soon as I see negative comments I hit the 'Back' button.

By not limiting yourself to a very specific set of requirements you are leaving your options open as we often change our minds and sometimes a particular person/couple may fall outside of our parameters for meeting people but there is 'something' about them that says: "hmmm, could be interesting."

- but if you've been absolute in your requirements then you'll probably lose out on more than one occasion for being so negative.

to fun fit guy... re varifications being hidden...

I hide some just for various reasons... you don't need to know with whom I have played or what I got up to... all you need to know is that the person is genuine....

in fact people with loads of graphic feedback is a turn off for me.... makes it feel very much like notches on a bedpost

Tip for bad spellers use Mozilla Firefox as a web browser it has a built in spell checker if you incorrectly spell something it will underline if for you and also give the correct spelling.

In response to Flirt14u about being a professional and spelling, I have been to university where I obtained a degree in Electronics and Computing, but that didn't make me a good speller, just made me good at maths. Point is does it matter?

In reply to the idea of hiding people who have verified you, We have no problem with giving people the choice not to show who they have met of this site, but surely the idea is that giving the names and being able to contact them to check any verification (not they we would) gives added credence to the verification system.

While we agree that verification is no guarantee on a free site we think its a must. We are also a members of many other sites and 1 pay site (which will remain nameless), which does not use any form of verification. We have had most success on that site and have never met either a time waster or dreamer on that site. But we find it best to use a combination of pay and free sites.

Isn't it lovely though when you receive a message from someone who has taken the time to read your profile ( in our case probably about 2 hours )?

It gives us a warm buzz.

Easily satisfied aren't we ?
