worthing

Hi, some time back I braved it and attended a social gathering through this site. It was great with loads of people in a pub. Unfortunately my hearing was damaged when I was young and I spent most of the evening nodding then sliding to the side as I couldn’t hear anything that was being said. Could have been dodgy as I may have agreed to anything! In the right settings I am fun engaging and adorable (lol) Bit put off by this experience and certainly didn’t want to have to explain or make the organisers feel uncomfortable. Any suggestions ? I am sure all of the people there would have made an extra effort if they had been aware, but I didn’t want to make any fuss or equally stand out for the wrong reasons. Any socials in quite locations or not requiring conversations lol

I think by their very nature socials are going to be fairly noisy. You could try arranging one to one social meets.

I do think most people would be understanding
