Hidden profile

Hi

If you have hidden your profile, how can people you have never spoken too still send you messages ? I can understand if you have spoken previously they just continue on with the conversation stream.

I think people can still message you they just can't see any of your pics

Because for example you’ve posted in here, click on your profile link will show your profile hidden but still able to message you x

What gets me is to find you've got a wink or a message and when you click you get the "hidden profile" announcement.

If we've never spoken to the sender how the hell do they expect to merit a reply when even the basic profile info isn't accessible?

Usually gets them added to our block list.

they can't see profile and pics but can still send messages change your filters that's more effective

Many hide it for different reasons.

I hide mine regularly usually when I’m going to bed or I’m out all day and not on Fab so that I don’t log in to a ton of messages that I have to wade through.

Some people may not be meeting, or may be taking a break but don’t want to delete their profile.

If you have posted here then the reply privately button still works otherwise the hidden does limit messages.

I do it when not able to meet or just to limit messages from randoms.

Works very well and means i can still messages people when i fancy a convo.

If your profile is hidden you still appear in people's hotlists etc and they can message you if your filters allow.

It stops MOST people messaging.

Most people haven’t a clue they can message you whilst hidden and when I’ve hidden my profile the amount is always significantly less than when I don’t hide it. So it works well.

It stops MOST people messaging.

Most people haven’t a clue they can message you whilst hidden and when I’ve hidden my profile the amount is always significantly less than when I don’t hide it. So it works well. "
ahhhh OK well easier than changing filters I suppose

Send message option is still available, all hidden profile does is hide the content of you profile.

Hiding your profile doesnt prevent people from messaging you as the message button is still there, it only hides the contents of your profile. Its message filters or blocking people that can stop it.
