You say you have face PICs that you're happy to send, but they're plastered all over your profile? You need a variety of pictures, not just head and shoulders. If you're going to wait for people to contact you it may be a long wait. Have a look at some of the successful male profiles on here and take some hints.

One thing to remember, women don't often send the first message. You'll be looking at an empty inbox for quite a while if you don't instigate a conversation, as only a tiny minority search their local area. Most just respond to some of the messages they get
