We say; Like yours too, how about this Saturday, or let us know when best for you...

No reply... in some cases, not even read our message?

What’s bizarre, is it’s verified couples messaging us that state in their profile how they don’t want time wasters... ??

Is this the Fab way? Or are we doing something wrong?

Any advice appreciated

You can't blame yourself if that happens on fab you have to take it with a pinch of salt and you can't get your hopes up to much but there are some lovely genuine people on here you just have to persevere and stick it out maybe try a social event or club it's up to you two what you want on here

It does happen and it can for a number of reasons. Have they been online since you’ve sent the message? Perhaps something has happened in the real world that has prevented them from responding to your message. Some people prefer to exchange a few messages first before considering a meet. Maybe only one of them has seen the message and yet to discuss with the other half, or they’ve changed their mind.

Unfortunately, it is what it is. Bear with it, as there are some people out there that do meet.

There are lots of reasons people do this. Perhaps you were chatting to one half of the couple and the other half didn’t feel they wanted to meet when informed (for whatever reason).

Also many couples like to chat for a little time before a meet. In our experience (we’ve been here 4 years this is our second time profile) couples who say they will meet instantly are usually timewasters.

Your best bet is going to a club and getting verified by couples there and you will find people are much more willing to meet.

I bet it won’t be long before you pop your fab cherry and then you’ll be here asking how to juggle so many meets

If literally your reply to their first message is let’s meet on Saturday I’m not surprised they’ve ran off. A lot of people like to chat a bit before actually fixing a date to meet

Our last 3 contacts disappeared in to the ether.

I think it was the "We will meet for a strictly social drink at least once, maybe more before it progresses to something more"

If it wasn't that, then it was "If it progresses then we shall meet you at your home before we invite you to ours"

So either they were to impatient and wanted a shag there and then, or their status was not as described in their profile, i.e they were married

This site is 95% timewaster's.

I'd agree with another poster and say you were perhaps jumping the gun a bit. If I sent a message to someone saying I'd potentially be interested in meeting, I'd still want to chat first, see face pics etc before setting a date and time. And I imagine it's even more complex for couples as you need to discuss boundaries and the like.

We lose alot of interest when we say we only do our meets in clubs and that's fine. We prefer doing it this way as their is no pressure on either party if the attractions not there in person

Thanks everyone, some interesting thoughts there. I guess you can never know..

We’re looking forward to a club visit later this month, at least we can see who we’re speaking to, and hopefully we can get one or two verifications xx

Same. We don't do fuck and runs, so anyone suggesting a meet after 1 message would be ignored.

If that's your preferred way of playing, a club would probably suit you better.

Personally I found your profile a little "wordy", even though mine probably is too! I know long sentences can put some people off who are rapidly screening profiles before moving on.

That people are unreliable is frustrating but common to a site of this nature, as said before something may happen in their family life to halt proceedings but also, there are some who get their kick out of initial contact and flirting but who are afraid of the "actual meet". Sadly this is human nature.

I understand that you do not want to be hounded by single men, thus block contact from them...but I wanted to send this to you as a PM/helpful note and wasn't allowed to because I'm "single".

Stick with it. When you've a good group of friends and a few meets under your belt it will start to run like clockwork...only more FUN!

Same here and a lot of people disappear when we tell them but we find its the best way to meet people by far
