Can someone shed some light on this, why do people add you to their Friends List and then dont chat?

Its annoying as I am a genuine guy and when I chat for a while and they add me, I think they want to move forward to better and naughty things, but when I message them, they dont even read them lol confused or what xx

don't add them till they have spoke a while that might be better

As another poster said ,to see private pics.

I don't add anyone for ages and if we then don't chat,I delete .
