There are a couple of spots on the Downs, and Blaze is good too. Ashton court is a bit busy. Purdown is good if you time it right. I have also had fun at abbots Leigh and Leigh woods. Tog Hill too if you can be arsed to go that far!

Downs is always quiet in the week. Toggle hill area has loads of quiet lay-bys around I've used loads
