How do people play when they have kids?

We just don't get any time it seems now.

Two teenage girls and a 4yr old boy keep us busy all the time.

We just don't seem to have any time for us these days.

How old are the teenage girls ?

Couldn’t they sit for the four year old now and again ?

We tend to get a sitter when we wanna get out but it’s expensive ( £30 ) but it’s so important to have our time too .

We only play daytime while our kid is at the nursery. Luckily I finish work early on Fridays so we get a couple of hours for ourselves before our little one is home.

Babysitters?

Get the teenage children to babysit the youngest?

Luckily our respective ex's have the kids different weekend, in theory. In practice it's difficult. We have to squeeze things in where we can and rely on family to babysit. Luckily we have a club within walking distance we can pop into. It is sort of our local. Just need to be creative. If you have one old enough and responsible enough to look after the others that a bonus.

We do similar. Babysitters are hard to come by. Not ideal as I'd like to play together more.

I totally get what you mean, but then for us we like playing separately

We have children and we managed once a month "date nights" that we get free.

These are sometimes when we play and sometimes just us.

It's not often but it's all we can get at the moment with pre-teen kids.

Unfortuntely it tends to be one of the consequences of having children. Some ideas:

- Play separately and take turns.

- Get a babysitter once a month/once every couple of months.

- Ask relatives or the teenagers to babysit for a couple of hours.

- Play during the day while kids are at school.

Rarely, have to rely on family to babysit. Makes the free time that much more precious though which is why we are cautious of time wasters.

Essex.

Due to shift work I (Risky) only get two weekends a month off.

My parents usually have the younger two for one weekend a month.

Occasionally I get an extra weekend off, then if we go out, they either go to my parents or sometimes we get the eldest to stay in but obviously he prefers to be out with his mates...

If you want to party or visit clubs there are always ways and means, ex and I would play at least once a month, either with babysitter keeping kids under control or grandparents. Having fun is what a relationship is all about either for str8s or swingers

We are in a similar boat, except our 3 are all under 6yo

Never get a minute to ourselves and even when we do somehow manage it all we want to do is catch up on sleep lol only thing that we have noticed that helps is booking a sitter 2 months in advance along with 2 backup sitters just incase and book a hotel and fuck off for the night

Nice to see other people have the same issues we do, we will probably manage 1 night every 2 or 3 months if we are lucky due to babysitters. We wouldn't swing alone so that's not an option plus we would like some nights for ourselves, maybe this lifestyle is beyond us at the minute haha.

People don't want to wait 4 weeks for a meet which is totally understandable.

I have meets when they are with their dad for his weekend or when they are at School and I have a day off. I occasionally do evening meets.

I don’t accommodate.

We have each set of grandparents have our daughter overnight once a month each.

Those 2 evenings a month are our playtime then.

Easier for us though I suppose as we only have one child.

Some are happy to, for the right people, there's plenty of fun to be had with a bit of lexical foreplay

Hiding in the shadows

I have a 15 & 14yro left living at home, they go to their dad alternate weekends, so that's my fun time.

They're old enough to be left alone if I want to go out during the week, but I'd never stay out late.

Occasionally one of my older kids, will come round & 'babysit' on a non dad weekend, but I'd only go out then for a special occasion, like a birthday.

We have 6 kids, 4 at home, it's not just a case of getting a babysitter for us, as two of the kids have additional needs... We have to rope in various family members to have certain kids, and then we bugger off for 3 nights... Just have to make the most of the time we get

We have kids as well. Having children is not a barrier to the swinger world. Its more difficult to arrange a meet and play. Our rule is family first.

We have kids, and don't play separately (ish).

What we do is aim for a club night once a month, and will normally arrange a meet. We prefer clubs so that we still get a night out if the meet doesn't go so well.

That's a big part of the reason we like clubs...
